Join Fat Quarter Shop as we honor Ruby Bridges and support UNCF with our 2024 Stronger Together Quilt Along. Featuring blocks from four Black designers, we are excited to create a quilt that honors the courage and strength Bridges showed in the years following the monumental case of Brown vs. Board of Education. The Vintage Sunburst Quilt Block has us shining with happiness, and with the Vintage Sunburst Quilt Along, you can savor that happiness throughout the year! Every quilt tells a story, and next year’s Stronger Together quilt tells a history – of exploration, innovation, and remarkable achievements of three intrepid African Americans! To celebrate Black History Month in 2023, we’re sharing two special patterns to fundraise for UNCF.

To celebrate the release of Jolly Bar Book Vol. 4, we are hosting the Jolly Bar 4 Quilt Along! We’ll sew a few blocks weekly from January through March of 2023.

We are all aflutter it’s time to present the 2023 Bountiful Quilt and Stitch Along! Join us in making this bright sampler quilt overflowing with Spring’s bounty and designed by Corey Yoder, featuring her fabric collection Sunwashed, for Moda Fabrics! We hope you’ll sew along with us.

Every quilt tells a story, and this year’s Stronger Together quilt tells a history. To celebrate Black History Month, we’re back to share a new pattern and fundraiser for UNCF! We’ve released the 2022 Stronger Together Quilt Pattern and Stronger Together Cross Stitch Pattern in support of the United Negro College Fund (UNCF). We encourage you to donate $15 to our United Negro College Fund campaign for the use of each of these free patterns! 100% of your donation will go to help under-represented students earn a college education. The Stronger Together Quilt Along and Stitch Along will last for four weeks, from February 1 – 28, 2022.

We’re entering into the world of thrifting with Lori Holt’s latest quilt and stitch along, Flea Market! Her new Flea Market Quilt and Flea Market Baskets Cross Stitch patterns are one-of-a-kind finds inspired by Lori’s love for thrifting at flea markets and antique shops. We’re sewing and stitching these patterns throughout 2022, so you can choose to sew with speed or piece with patience. It’s up to you! The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart! We are proud to present the 2022 Heartfelt Quilt Along! Please join us in supporting Make-A-Wish with an online stitch along AND quilt along. From February through September of 2022, we will post free block patterns and finishing patterns on our blog to download and print on the 1st Friday of each month. We will offer the Heartfelt patterns as FREE downloads during the fundraiser for a suggested donation of $5 each to our Make-A-Wish Central & South Texas campaign. Or feel free to make a larger, one-time donation of $50. No amount is too small and every bit counts. We’ll start releasing the patterns on January 14, 2022.

Welcome to the barnyard… Lori Holt of Bee in my Bonnet Co is back with another charming quilt and stitch along, Quilty Barn! Sew along with us as we indulge in our inner farm girl and dream of a life full of hay, animals, and sunsets on the farm. We’ll be raising the barn all month long, and you are invited! Whether you quilt or cross stitch, join us for this fun event.  First, decide what barn quilt you want to make from the Farm Girl Vintage book or Lori’s new Quilty Barn cross stitch pattern.  So saddle up and get ready to sew from October 1 through November 15!

Whether by hand or machine, stitching makes us Sew Happy! In recognition of National Sewing Month, this new set of cross stitch and quilt designs by Lori Holt has us bobbin’ up and down to go thread our needles and start stitching. Sewing is a source of satisfaction and pride for us. We’re spelling out our love for this craft that brings joy with a little help from the Spelling Bee Quilt Book by Lori Holt. This special sew along will run from September 22 to October 27, and our sewing machines happily await! 

Ho Ho Ho! Guess what? Christmas in July is happening… in September! We’re hoping to transport you to a winter wonderland with our next mystery quilt and stitch along, All the Trimmings. Each Tuesday for 5 weeks starting September 7, 2021, we will release one FREE quilt and cross stitch pattern. Quilters, you can join Kimberly Jolly as she shows you how to cut and sew a new block each week in our free All the Trimmings video series!

Just like Christmas, the best part about this is the surprise, so we won’t reveal the look of the quilt or cross stitch pattern beforehand (except for the first block).

This month we announced the exciting arrival of Joanna Figueroa and Carrie Nelson’s latest book, A Scrapbook of Quilts! This book holds over 30 different projects, perfect for any quilter that has a special place in their heart for all things scrappy. In honor of the book’s release, Joanna and Carrie are leading us in a fun Pillow Along inspired by the multitude of patchwork pillows, pincushions and quilts that you can sew from A Scrapbook of Quilts.

The Pillow Along kicks off today, June 22, and lasts for eight weeks.

BOO! This new quilt and stitch along may be a mystery…but it’s nothing to be spooked about! We’re bringing you a FREE quilt and cross stitch pattern and video series called the Bats and Boos Mystery Quilt and Stitch Along to celebrate Halloween. It’s a good time to start something for the holidays. And… it’s a MYSTERY! Beginning August 2, we’ll release a FREE Bats & Boos quilt and cross stitch pattern each week for four weeks.

To celebrate the Jolly Bar Book Volume 3, we’re hosting the Jolly Bar 3 Quilt Along!  The Jolly Bar Book Volume 3 includes 20 quilt patterns designed just for our exclusive 5″ x 10″ Jolly Bar precuts, and we have created the Jolly Bar 3 Quilt Along to combine blocks from the book into a cute tablerunner! Starting Monday, April 5, 2021, we’ll be sewing a different block each week for eight weeks.

We are sew excited to launch this sew along for Lori Holt of Bee in my Bonnet’s newest book, Prim & Proper. Since Lori Holt’s new book came out we’ve been oohing and ahhing over this charming quilt. Lori pulls beloved elements from vintage medallion applique and cross stitch to create an exquisite sampler quilt. It’s sewn with traditional piecing techniques and it finishes at 63.5″ x 75.5″. There is no paper piecing or applique needed.

From November 17 through December 29, 2020, we’re making our way, block-by-block, through this beautiful quilt. Learn more.

We’re celebrating our quilting community with a free block of the week quilt along. We’ve joined forces with 18 talented designers to bring you a 38-week quilt along with amazing sampler blocks and sew many options! This quilt along is a chance for quilters all around the world to connect each week for a regular sewing spree, try a variety of blocks, and celebrate every single amazing quilt in progress. Starting Monday, June 29, 2020, we’ll be sewing one row a week for seven weeks. The quilt we’re making uses a sampling of blocks from the book, and all together they make a beautiful lap-sized quilt.
