Triangles on a Roll Quilt Along for Worldwide Quilting Day: And the Winners are…

Please hop to the bottom of the post to find out the winners of the Fat Quarter Shop gift card giveaway!

In celebration of Worldwide Quilting Day 2023 on Saturday, March 18 we’re hosting a Triangles on a Roll Quilt Along, complete with a giveaway! Worldwide Quilting Day is held each year on the third Saturday in March. The Triangles on a Roll Quilt Along is a seven-week sew along with a free quilt pattern designed especially for Triangle Paper. We’re already on a roll with fabric requirements and details ready for you.

Triangle On A Roll Quilt Along

The Triangles on a Roll Quilt finishes at 74.5” square and is fat quarter-friendly. You can pick up a Fat Quarter Bundle or 22 fat quarters to get started. Kimberly will sew along each week using Fruit Cocktail by Fig Tree Quilts for Moda Fabrics.

The Triangles on a Roll Quilt Pattern is written to work with H200H300and H400. You can get all three in the Triangles on a Roll Quilt Along Paper Set, or if you prefer to make half-square triangles the traditional way, refer to this guide for cutting information.

All the supplies can be found on the Triangles on a Roll Quilt Along page at Fat Quarter Shop.

The Full Pattern will release on Thursday, March 30 but there’s much to do before that! To get ready, download the fabric requirements, select your fabric bundle, organize your triangle paper, and add the sew along dates, March 30 to May 11, to your calendars!

Quilt Along Schedule

Don’t forget to bookmark this blog and come back in a few weeks for the pattern release!

The Triangle on a Roll Quilt Along will take place over seven weeks, and the entire free pattern will be available on Thursday, March 30.

If you’d like to hear the details from Kimberly, check out the Behind the Scenes video on the Fat Quarter Shop YouTube Channel.

    1. Hi Rebecca!

I’m about to update the post above, but to answer your question, you need 22 Fat Quarters!

    1. Hi Barbara!

We are updating the post above with that information now, but the answer is 22 Fat Quarters.

      Happy quilting!

  1. Can we use our own supplies if we already have purchased materials prior to this advent?

    1. Hi Cynthia!

If you have everything listed in the supplies then absolutely use what you have! 🙂

  2. When I try to print out the fabric requirements, all I get is a blank sheet of paper. Have been printing all morning so I know all is right with the printer. Help!

    1. Hi Alice!

I’m sorry to hear that! If it is something with our pattern then Customer Service can help you figure it out, I’ll add their contact information below!

  3. I have my papers, fabric, and pattern, but I haven’t seen any more posts for quilting along. Do I need to tune in somewhere else? The kick off got me excited, but am I really on my own now and am I just post to do it and post my final?

  4. The main winner didn’t post her quilt until after the deadline. That’s unfortunate for the rest of the participants who complied.

    1. Hi Christie! I appreciate you bringing your concerns to our attention, but I think there’s been some confusion.

The contest rules were everyone had to post either the finished quilt or their completed quilt top by end of day on the 11th to be entered.

Our winners all did this! Nicole has posted her finished quilt more recently, but her quilt top photo was entered before the deadline which is also why it’s the photo we shared. Hope this helps clear up any concerns! 🙂

      1. Six days ago was the 12th. But that’s fine. I know bringing this to your attention won’t change the results, but it was noticed.
