Introducing the Eight Carat Quilt Along with Triangles on a Roll!

You are cordially invited to our Eight Carat Quilt Along, a fun introduction to the new Triangles on a Roll Quilts Book by It’s Sew Emma! This beauty sparkles and shines with half-square triangles in a Lone Star-inspired eight-point star.

Kimberly made her version of the Eight Carat Quilt in Something Borrowed by Christopher Thompson for Riley Blake Designs. We think it’s oh sew lovely and ready for the big day!

About the Quilt

The Eight Carat Quilt finishes at 60.5″ square and has a 24″ center block. It uses 1.25 yards of prints or solids, along with some background fabric and two sizes of Triangles on a Roll. Triangles on a Roll™ triangle paper allows you to create perfectly accurate half-square triangle units in any size and amount you need. Unroll and cut just what you need, then roll it back up for easy storage. This short video tutorial shows you how.

This quilt makes a nice stash-buster because you can use smaller cuts of fabric. The 3″ and 4″ finished HST’s in the pattern are made with 8.5″ and 10.5″ strips. You can refer to the fabric requirements for details on what fabrics to gather for your quilt, and don’t forget to pick up a copy of the Triangles on a Roll Quilts Book for complete pattern instructions.
