Announcing the Flea Market Quilt and Stitch Along!

We’re entering into the world of thrifting with Lori Holt’s latest quilt and stitch along, Flea Market! Her new Flea Market Quilt and Flea Market Baskets Cross Stitch patterns are one-of-a-kind finds inspired by Lori’s love for thrifting at flea markets and antique shops.

We’re sewing and stitching these patterns throughout 2022, so you can choose to sew with speed or piece with patience. It’s up to you! Read on to learn how you can join us for the Flea Market Quilt and Stitch Along.

About the Quilt

Let’s head to the Flea Market! We’re using Lori’s Flea Market Quilt Book to whip up a bevy of vintage flowers and baskets.

To get started you’ll need the Flea Market Quilt Book for the block instructions. You can pick up the Flea Market Quilt Kit and Backing Set (Coming soon) to make one like ours, with Lori’s charming collection, Flea Market.

The Flea Market Quilt Kit includes the Flea Market fabrics for the 96.5″ x 96.5″ quilt top and binding, plus one spool of Cloud Large Vintage Trim.

2″ Half Square Triangle Paper, 2.5″ Half Square Triangle Paper, and the Lori Holt Cute Cuts Trim It 15.5″ Square Ruler are optional notions that can help you piece with ease and accuracy.  While the book is the primary guide for the quilt, Kimberly and Lori will release a few tutorial videos to show some piecing tips for the quilt.

As a special bonus, we’re providing a FREE PDF Pattern for the Baskets Quilt Setting. This design features twelve of the baskets set on point in a Lap size quilt.

You can find all of the supplies for this quilt on the Flea Market Sew Along Page.

    1. I think I have ally fabric gathered up. And have had my book for a while now if I haven’t lost anything I’ll be ready to start in Janut

  2. I have the fat quarter bundle, have ordered the book, and am searching for the yardage. I am excited for this one!

  3. I’ve ordered the quilt kit and backing. The colors that Lori Holt chose are splendid. And I’m so happy to feel like I’m in quilt class again, but without the mask. Thank you for this opportunity.

  4. I received my Floss & Keeper (so cute!), 25 ct Laguna as well as the pattern! So excited! Everything looks awesome! I’ve not xst since the 70s or 80s…I’m jumping back in with this SAL.

  5. I received my quilt kit and book a few days before Christmas! I starched my first set of fabric already and am excited about cutting and piecing along with the group!!

  6. Lori’s Flea Market fabric line is my absolute favorite! Love everything about it, especially the colors.

Hubby bought me two fat quarter bundles to do whatever suits.

I recently got her Vintage Christmas book & fabric bundle. Am looking forward to creating from it.

Yes, I know both have been out for awhile but they are my absolute favorites! Plan to take my time & work on the Vintage Christmas all year so it will be ready for Christmas 2022.

  7. Hi, I have a quick question about the cross stitch pattern for Fleamarket stitch along. I got my pattern and clearly I am old school(haven’t cross stitched in 10-15 years!) and I cannot figure out how many rows and columns are in the center square so I can get started on the January stitch along. The pattern comes as 4 separate pieces cut in 4 quadrants.

  8. Okay, so I figured it out!🤔you cut the 4 quadrants and tape them together where is says “overlap” I know this isn’t rocket science but I couldn’t imagine carrying around this huge square when I am waiting around and decide to throw a few stitches in…is this how all cross stitch patterns are packaged now? I have had small booklets before and I love the pattern but I like to do this while I am waiting somewhere to occupy my time. Help, if I am doing this wrong, please let me in on the secret!😂

  9. I have started the Flea Market Cross Stitch. This is the first time for me on 25 count. I am using only 1 strand in the cross. I tried the 2 to use the loop method but I found it to be to much thread in a the cross. So this will definitely be a learning experience but I am loving the finish product. Can’t wait to finish for I am working as much as I can with my magnifiers and lights to get it done. Hope to share more soon

  10. I’m unclear how this all works. I have all the supplies for the cross stitch but am wondering how the stitch along works. Will there be videos each month? If so, has there been one for the center Star already? Haven’t cross stitched in years so I am looking forward to all the guidance I can get! Thanks!

  11. I have a question regarding the CHURNDASH BLOCKS…the photo in the pattern of the quilt and the picture of the quilt in this blog post are not the same quilt. QUESTION…how do you know which fabrics to pair up with each other to make the blocks? Is there a “key” or some sort of guide for which fabrics pair with which fabric to make each block??? Thank you for your help and guidance.
