2024 Pieceful Baskets Sew Sampler Quilt Along

With the Pressed Flowers Quilt Along coming to an end, we’re ready to get going with this year’s Sew Sampler Box Sew Along, Pieceful Baskets, which measures 66.5″ x 86.5″ finished.

This sampler quilt draws on traditional sewing baskets for inspiration while becoming an artfully unique quilt. The placid blues and greens from Shoreline by Camille Roskelley create a sense of serenity and calm that carries over into each stitch. The Pieced Baskets Quilt Kit, fabric requirements, binder cover, and conversion PDF will be released later this month!

If you are not yet subscribed and want to join right in time for our Pieced Baskets Sew Along and a new year of Sew Sampler, now’s the time! Don’t forget, you can always find the quilt details on the Sew Sampler Quilt Along page.

  1. I hope I’m right! It looks like Flower Girl by My so Quilty Life. Can’t wait to see it. Love having sneak peeks!

  2. I love this line!
I’m sorry to say last month I didn’t like most of it!
This one is getting me excited again.

    1. Yeah, I usually love my boxes but certain things I’m getting burned out on, such as stuff from the same designer. I love getting new designer items most especially if I’m not even aware of them, a chance to introduce everyone. I just don’t have a lot of spare time to search the website for who and what is new. Anyway, anything I won’t use I keep in a donate box and donate to a random local church guild or a kids center where sewing is taught. FQS does a pretty good job, I have never received an entire box I didn’t like. I can’t say that for others I used to subscribe to. Just wait, you’ll get one you absolutely ❤️. Maybe this month? Can’t wait!

  3. I am guessing Flower Girl also. And, I wonder what the pattern will be like that goes along with the pre-cuts. My favorite is the Jolly Bar, but I will be happy with any pre-cut of Flower Girl!!
It is very pretty and can’t wait for the SSB to arrive!

  4. I hope it’s Flower Girl. I love this fabric line. So excited about this April box
Hope there are great goodie’s to go along with an amazing pattern

  5. Sew excited to get the mailing notice so early in the month! Thank you FQS! And the sneak peak looks awesome.

  6. I think it’s Joanna Figueroa. Don’t know what line. N
ot familiar with Flower Girl. I’ll check it out. I’m sure you all are right.

  7. I loved the fabric line last month!! It was a nice change from the pastel prints that we had received so many months! Maybe this year will bring a bigger variety of fabric genres- fingers crossed! Now if ups/usps will decide to keep my package moving towards me instead of playing ping-pong with it bouncing it back and forth between two distribution centers…. I will be a happy camper! My package was supposed to be here on Tuesday and didn’t get it until Saturday 🙁
Hopefully this will be a great box!!

    1. Last month it took over 10 days for mine to arrive. Your right it does bounce around everywhere. Does not usually take that long. Maybe it will be faster this month!

  8. I knew as soon as I saw it, it is Flower Girl – My Sew Quilty Life. Not wild about the fabrics, but hopefully, it will come with a great pattern that really flaunts the fabrics.

  9. I have to agree with most of you. Flower girl so happy I was hoping this would come in one of our boxes. I have followed her for her patterns for a while now. She has such cute designs. And now to have her fabric designs it’s so wonderful.

  10. I am really hoping for Flower Girl. My Sew Quiltly life has the cutest patterns, too. I hope if it’s her that it is her pattern with it. Keeping my fingers crossed. I get so excited about the bright, light collections we sample.

  11. This is really pretty. I cannot wait to receive it. I am a little disappointed with the last box. I started the Thick and Think quilt. I cut the pieces like it said but when I was laying it out. I found that pieces it said to cut into 1 1/4″ x 7 1/2″strips should not have been cut that way. They should have been left 2 1/2″ X 7 1/2″. The instructions were very vague. I hope others have more success than I am having. I loved all of the notions though.

  12. I’m sewww excited for this months box! It looks like Flower Girl is the fabric we will be getting and it is such a beautiful collection! Also excited about the chance to find an Aqua Ticket in my box! Sew Sampler never disappoints and I can’t wait to receive this months box!✨💖✨

  13. I had my fingers crossed for Shoreline this month. Looks like Flower Girl, which is a sweet, springtime line. I hope we get a jolly bar! 🤞

  14. About shipping where you live has a lot to do with it. I use to always get in three days now that I moved three hours away in the same state it’s hit and miss on getting. All depends on the postal service where you live and near by post distribution centers. I get impatient cause I’m always looking forward to my monthly box that Kimberly always comes up with. Over all it’s the best box I’ve ever gotten.

  15. 1. I am excited about April’s sneak peek
    2. Definitely didn’t care for last months box
    3. Not preferring fat eights..
    4. Definitely love the upcoming colors

  16. Love the color. I’m assuming I will get April without doing anything else. Can’t waiting

  17. Hello Ladies, I’m so very pleased to hear such happy and up beat comments. I really love this box, although I had to take time off from it. I am so glad to be back .I had tried other boxes before but were not on the up and up. Thank you for your thoughts in the new box.

  18. I excited that many are hopeful for Flower Girl too! We should support this new designer, Heather Briggs, to Moda.

  19. I definitely think it’s Flower Girl! Very beautiful fabric line by Moda, and the colors are very light and spring-like.

  20. From the March box I loved those new aqua flat single head pins and the light. I’m new enough that I still enjoy adding a few novelty prints to my collection. I am excited when I get the notification that the new box is on its way although for two consecutive months my box has been delivered to the wrong bank of mail boxes in our housing development

  21. Super excited for this box: Flower Girl 🤞, Aqua ticket 🤞🩵& a Kimberly Jolly quilt giveaway 🤞🤞! Plus, I cannot wait to see the first Pieceful Baskets pattern… I already purchased my Shoreline fabric & have some Nantucket Summer from a previous Sew Sampler box 💙💚

  22. Is anyone else thinking of doing the basket quilt along with Flower Girl? I have some scraps that will go with it and am thinking of using some wicker print for the baskets and flower girl colors for the rest. I am super excited to make the basket quilt along this upcoming year! Is there somewhere to find out what the requirements for the full quilt are?
