We’re ready to start sewing our 11th Annual Charity Quilt, Moonbeams! We’re ready for our second pattern and it’s a star! We can’t wait to start sewing with you. Be sure to read on for our first Moonbeams Charity Cross Stitch release.

It’s our second pattern release, the Ohio Star Blocks! You’ll need to make four of these for the quilt. We’re sewing with the Strawberry Lemonade collection designed by Sherri & Chelsi for Moda Fabrics. To make one just like ours, pick up the Moonbeams Quilt Kit. You can also download the fabric requirements to make this year’s charity quilt in your choice of fabrics.
Sew Along with Kimberly!

Thanks to you we get to grant wishes like Max’s! She wished to see Hamilton on Broadway and go backstage, and we as a community were able to make that happen for her! Her Mom shared, “Knowing a wish was being prepared specifically for her gave Max something exciting to look forward to during times when she was not feeling well or missing out on things other children get to experience. Max was talking about the future in positive terms instead of just planning the next medical appointment or procedure. Broadway backstage experience was amazing. Everyone involved made her feel like she mattered.”
As we soar into our 11th Annual Charity Quilt, we continue to be amazed by the generosity of this sewing community and inspired by the stories of the children who have been granted life-changing Wishes. We encourage you to donate just $10 for the use of each free quilt pattern or a total of $50. For the cross stitch patterns, we are asking for a $20 donation. No amount is too small, and every bit counts. Fat Quarter Shop is proudly partnering with Moda Fabrics to match up to $30,000 in donations.
Fundraising Surprises for Moonbeams
We are so excited to be announcing that along with having the block patterns for Moonbeams, each milestone goal we hit with our Make-a-Wish fundraiser will unlock special offers and surprises! When your donations reach each $20,000 milestone you will unlock the next one! When you donate today, you’ll get us closer to our goal of granting ten wishes, and closer to unveiling each special surprise.
Last month we hosted a Charity Cross Stitch Raffle to help us get closer to our Moonbeams fundraising goal. Thanks to everyone who participated we were able to raise $3,945 bringing us to over $17,000 raised so far for Make-A-Wish! Thank you to everyone who entered, winners have all been contacted via email.
