My Quilting Project List for 2022

As I have another year of quilting ahead, I want to give you all more details on the different quilts I’ll be sewing up in 2022. I hope my project list will give you a little inspiration, and I hope that you can sew with me! I will be updating my project list as I add more quilts to it throughout the year. You can find my Cross Stitch Projects for 2022 online as well.

  1. Love your idea of making the house blocks with leftover scraps from projects!! Already made one house!! So cute! Thanks for all your fun inspiration all year long! Happy New Year!

  2. Brick House scrap quilt for me, I may have to add scraps from last year’s quilt projects and make a couple for charity.

  3. I’m going to try several quilt alongs. Riley Blake quilt along using Lori Holt Bee Basics. I will be doing Pat Sloans quilt along with two lines for two quilts,
And I’d like to do another monthly one with a Moda designer, and finish up another of hers. I’m trying to use my stash as I have a hundred different lines of fabrics. I will certainly buy the new Moda line from Camille. I sure hope to clear out my storage this year, as we move to some land in Oklahoma.

  4. I went crazy trying to finish up two 4 year old Dear Daughter quilts but I did it for Christmas! Hoping to get to several FQS kits I have here, some started, not to mention the Heartfelt which I bought the kit for.

  5. For quilting I probably will concentrate on UFOs and make the house blocks from leftovers from them. Every project I do is hand sewn so I don’t really want to start anything new right away.

  6. I just joined and will try to do the Riley Blake block challenge, The Quilt Show’s BOM Garden Party Down Under and whatever Pat Sloan is doing. I also have a full list of UFO’s. Ambitious list – we’ll see what makes it. =)

  7. Hello friends!! I am a new grandma, self-taught sewer, who has made 2 quilts so far. Happened upon FQShop, then Lori Holt. Totally impressed with both, have loaded up on your items and ready to try BOM. Hope that includes tutorials also. Feel like I am joining up with family!
PS. I don’t do Facebook, will I miss alot?

    1. Hi Anne, welcome and I’m glad you found us! If you’re looking for a series with tutorials, I would suggest the Heartfelt Charity quilt or Stronger Together as those will have video tutorials. Flea Market will have two videos where Lori and Kimberly show block construction on one block each, I believe. However there’s not a monthly tutorial for Flea Market. Please note that the Designer Mystery Block of the Month does not come with tutorials. I hope that helps and please reach out to service@fatquartershop.com if you have any questions on patterns, fabric matching, or anything that we can help you with!

  8. Question: I see that you are using Tasha Noel fabric for the Riley Blake Design challenge. Is it precuts, and if so, what precut are you starting with?

    1. Sew excited! I am looking forward to doing Heartfelt, Riley Blake and Brick House. I am sure there will be others that loop me in along the way.😍🤣🧵🪡

  9. I am thrilled with the block house. I have started collecting my scraps and will soon create my first block. I think it’s a fabulous idea for using up accumulated scraps and still producing a colorful and useful quilt.

  10. I have signed up for three other quilt projects with FQS. Firstly, Lori Holts Cookbook series with all the chickens, secondly, “A Ribbon Runs Through It” and thirdly, Vanessa Goertzen’s “Rose in Bloom”. I am hoping that I will be successful with A Ribbon Runs Through It. I haven’t quilted very long and this is a more advanced quilt. But I am sure going to give it my best effort.

  11. I just finished cutting the Sunset Shades FQB for the Exploding Heart QAL. I have Sincerely Yours Fabric ready for the Heartfelt QAL, that benefits Make A Wish. I have Moonstone fabric for the North Star pattern. And I have everything for the Bee Happy quilt by Lori Holt- I just need to work up the courage to start it.

  12. Could you please list your fabric and amounts from Tasha Noel that you are using for the Riley Blake 2022 block challenge. I made a list as you explained it on the you tube episode and tried to get it all from the screen shot from that episode. I compared it to the fabric requirements on the RBD fabric requirements list but I’m unclear as to amounts to order. I loved your choices and want to copy it!
