    1. I enjoyed everything in the October Sampler Box. Yesterday I received the rest of the fabric to make the table runner pattern. The binder holder and pin holder are very nice. Looking forward to trying the soaps too.

  1. I love everything in the box. Two patterns to pick from was a nice surprise. I also love the binder holder, although I was a little disappointed initially, thinking it was a template. The needle holder will be really handy when travelling. Thanks for another great box.

  2. Love the binder holder, I will use the needle holder for my cross stitch needles. Fabric is so pretty. I’m kinda on the fence about the patterns but overall it was a good SSB this month.

  3. Looking forward to using the soak wash. I have three quilts coming back from the laq soon and as soon as the bings are on in the washing machine they go with a sample of the laundry wash.
I also like the binding holder.

  4. I’m just now discovering blog.fatquartershop.com! Everything beautiful and inspiring! I’ve been missing out!

  5. I’m so excited to be getting the sampler box, was happy about the box, love new presents

    1. LOVE getting these Sampler boxes. Will be making some of these blocks this winter. Making a quilt of churn dash blocks is on my bucket list so really like that binder holder! Fabrics are beautiful and will certainly use the needle holder! Looking forward to next month’s box. Had my tape measure from one of the previous sampler boxes at an open sew at quilt shop. Another quilter saw it & asked if I got sampler boxes and we had fun talking about all the different items we had gotten. Great fun! These boxes are well worth the money.

  6. I love everything in the box. The fabric is beautiful. I love the binding holder! I think that is such an awesome tool. The patterns, the needle holder—everything is so practical for a quilter and sewist. Thank you for such a lovely box!

  7. This was a fun box! Everything in it was so exciting, and I will use everything. Thank you so much for this box.

  8. Another great box! Loved it.

So here is a special note on the needle holder. I needed to flatten a seam as I was sewing along and didn’t want to bother with ironing it until later. I picked up the cool little needle holder and looked at the bottom and noticed the edges tapered up. I tried pressing my seam with it and it worked wonders! It was super comfortable to hold and just glided across my seam and pressed it perfectly!

It is now my favorite seam presser when ironing is inconvenient. I bet it would be super for paper piecing.

    1. Kitty, Thank you for the great idea of the needle holder! Sure will save a finger nail! And, it would be a prettier case in my basket than the pharmacy box for old needles!

  9. I miss when Kimberly use to make tutorials on putting the blocks together from the sew sampler.

  10. I like the two patterns that came with the box this month! I’m anxious to use the needle twister, it seems like I’m always putting my needles in a spool of thread or left-over binding etc., so I am also poking myself with a needle

  11. Fabulous box as usual! The fabric and that great little pattern booklet are fantastic! FQS is the best online quilting store anyone could ask for! Keep up the great work.

  12. I agree with Marcia. The binder tool looks like a lot of manipulation will be needed for it while binding your quilt. And it looks like a very narrow binding. The needle thingy?? I use empty prescription for broken needles. And, store used needles to be used again with a protective fabric or a pincushion marked for various needles. It’s a no on notions this month. The fabric is lovely! I’ve not used a junior roll before.
