When the cicadas start to sing, we start thinking about all the patriotic designs we might make for the Fourth of July, and this year, Kimberly has two red, white, and blue projects at the top of her list. Plus, we’ve included a roundup of patriotic patterns to get you inspired to start stitching!

Kimberly’s Red, White & June Projects

Patriotic Flea Market Flowers

Lori Holt has recolored her Flea Market Flowers Cross Stitch Pattern to match her new fabric collection, Americana with Riley Blake Designs, just for us at Fat Quarter Shop. To get the DMC conversion, you will need to pick up one of the Patriotic Flea Market Flower DMC Thread Packs. With a stitch count of 153 W x 169 H, this piece will keep you busy and make you fall in love with these quilt-inspired florals. You can find everything you need on the Red, White, & June Supply Page and listed below:

Bee in My Bonnet Stitch Cards Set U

Stitched sawtooth and crisscross stars make up this perfectly patriotic Stitch Cards Set. Kimberly plans to stitch hers as one piece in a vertical row, but you can finish yours in any number of ways! From ornaments to pincushions to four tiny framed treasures, Stitch Card Set U will add the perfect pop of red, white, & blue (and a touch of teal and pink for that Lori Holt flair) to your summer holiday decor. 1. Oooh! I’m excited for this! I plan on stitching the Eagle from the Patriotic TypeFace set and Stitching with the Housewives Red, White and Blue truck.

  2. I would love to do the patriotic Flea Market Flowers, but it appears the color conversions are only available with the floss pack?

    1. It’s such a cute one! You’re right, the re-color is only available in the floss pack, but this collection of floss is a great stash builder!

      1. Unfortunately the cost of the floss per skein is too much. I can’t justify that price, but I appreciate your help!

  3. I will be joining and stitching Flea Market Flowers; I am not stitching in patriotic colors and instead in colors similar to those Lori charted with, with some color changes since I don’t use aquas or corals. July begins my patriotic and Christmas stitching.
