Join Lori Holt’s Prim Stitch Series

Welcome to Lori Holt’s Prim Stitch Series! We’ll be buzzing about this one well into next year and hope that you will join us! Inspired by days gone by, the Prim Stitch Series by Lori Holt of Bee in my Bonnet is a nostalgia-filled,12-part pattern series full of traditional quilting motifs in Lori Holt’s sweet thread colors.

This pattern is also the cross stitch companion to the Lori Holt Prim Sew Along Quilt! You’ll want to check out the quilt for a feel of how this series may turn out.

The first pattern releases to members July 3 and will be the Patriotism & Industry design. How perfect for July? As you can see, these patterns stitch up beautifully on their own, but you can also stitch them all together in one big piece!

How it works

In the Prim Stitch Series Pattern Club, you will receive one chart monthly from July 2020 to June 2021. You will also receive the Prim Bordered Layout Chart and Cutting Diagram in the first month as a free printable PDF. As a member, you will receive the pattern 5 days before it is released and at a lower cost. Be sure to sign up before July 3.

Each month a new pattern will be featured:

  • July 2020 – Patriotism & Industry
  • August 2020 – Joy & Contentment
  • September 2020 – Peace & Plenty
  • October 2020 – Kindness & Generosity
  • November 2020 – Beauty & Simplicity
  • December 2020 – Home & Hearth
  • January 2021 – Faith & Endurance
  • February 2021 – Pleasant & Gentle
  • March 2021 – Welcoming & Cheerful
  • April 2021 – Love & Friendship
  • May 2021 – Gratitude & Grace
  • June 2021 – Hands & Heart to God

Supplies you’ll need

  1. What size frame was used for the individual stitch? Can’t wait to get started!

  2. I’m wondering if the pattern will be available as a PDF when it is released on July 11 in the FQS shop…would be nice for international stitchers like me!

  3. I’m signed up as a member of the club. Will the patterns be sent by regular (snail) mail or emailed to us?

  4. So each square will be cross stitched and then assembled as a quilt? I am very very new to quilting so I don’t want to bite off more than I can chew. I’ve done cross stitch but not alot of quilting. Also not really good with the Lugana. I’m more into the larger count 14.

    1. This is not a quilt but a cross stitch pattern that you can stitch as a “whole” or you can do it as Kimberly is doing it individually. I think she’s planning a quilt version.

  5. I just started my patriotism and industry pattern and I have a problem. The colors you list for the sunflower petals (DMC) are way too close in color. They don’t look different at all #503 #3817. Take a look it’s very wrong. Can you suggest what to do to make it look more like the picture in he pattern?

  6. I have reserved my spot and see the first pattern has already been mailed? How do I get this?

  7. Hi all! I LOVE this series and I’m stitching it on a 28 count Jobelan which I LOVE in coffee. I have a quick question…..is anyone NOT doing the border? I’m stitching mine individually and I just don’t particularly like the border and I’m worried about getting the stitch count right anyway.

  8. I do not do cross stitching but I am a big fan of Lori Holt having created three of her quilts and have enjoyed her video’s. I just enjoy looking at what she creates and maybe……just maybe…….I will take up cross stitching once again
