  1. I will be continuing the Moda Blockheads 5 and doing the Piece and Quilt along sampler. Considering doing the RBD challenge quilt.

  2. I’m retiring in March and plan to have more time to sew! Can’t wait to get some of these quilts started with you! Looking forward to it!

  3. will you actually be sewing the quilt blocks on your weekly video’s, or just showing the blocks occasionally after they are finished. For me, when I commit to sewing a quilt along, I like the commitment to actually watch/see when the blocks are made, to get tips on how to make it. Just seeing blocks after they are made doesn’t work for me. ie. when i sew along with Sherri @ A Quilty Life, and Riley Blake’s sew alongs when she posts her blocks & shows a video how to make the block; and Pat Sloan for her weekly wednesday block of the week, I can actually see & learn tips for making the blocks. I also have a busy schedule, but I like the commitment to know I can see & learn tips and to follow along for each block; otherwise it isn’t really a sew-along. I also like to plan my projects, but I just need to know before I start that I can count on being able to watch each block as it’s made.

    1. Hi Abbey, this is a good question! Not all of the quilts above are quilt alongs. Some of the ones that are will have tutorials along the way and some won’t. That information is always shared in the announcement or kick off blogs for the sew alongs. If Kimberly is doing video tutorials it will be specifically mentioned. Otherwise you can just except to see updates on our usual quilty livestreams and social media.

I can tell you already that the Moonbeams Charity Quilt Along will have video tutorials and Lori Holt has a video for the Scrappy Strings Quilt on her YouTube Channel.

If you have questions on any specific ones then let me know and I’ll see if I can get you an answer. 🙂

  4. I appreciate all the quilts you make, your schedule is busy. Maybe when you are not able to do video for making each block; maybe one of your talented quilting staff members could do the sew along video to show how each block is make, with sewing tips. You have a few very talented quilting staff to fill in for you when you are too busy.

  5. YAY!! I’ve been wanting to make The Quilted Scarecrow!! Interested in hearing the details!

  6. Wow!! What a full plate!
I always look forward to seeing the pattern for your scrappy quilts.
The enchanted Stars looks amazing. I want to do that one.
Wish I could work with you and be paid to sew, but alas, 8 will admire from afar and see the beautiful quilts you make.

  7. That’s a big agenda! Love so many of them and will join in on a few.
I didn’t see a “sewcialites” on your list, will there not be one in 2024?

  8. WOW! I can’t wait to see the video when I get off work. So many beautiful quilts. I will have to join in on a few in addition to the other ones I will be making.

  9. The Vintage Sunburst Quilt really has me thinking. I had a quilt like that when I was growing up made by my Grandma Elizabeth who sadly passed 5 years before my birth. I would love to recreate one like it. She also made a Wedding Ring quilt for my mama and she passed it to me on my 16th birthday. Grandma was a prolific quilter and regularly participated in the old quilting bees! She was a farm wife and quite textile talented as well as an amazing embroiderer. While this piece may be out of my realm of capability (paper pieced it looks to be to me) I so do want to give it a try!

  10. I’d love to sew everything you shared today but realistically I’m very interested in Lori Holt’s new Vintage Christmas project. I didn’t think I’d want to do another temperature quilt but I love the houses. I did this year’s in the solids so I’d like to try prints next year.
    Love your YouTube videos, thanks!
    Cindy

  11. I think I’m going to do the Vintage Starburst and the Enchanted Star quilts. I’ve just started the the Petit Four only in Petit Six 🤗🤗🤗
    Have fun at Quilt Market.

  12. Packed schedule! Will the Pressed Flowers be a quilting along or just a part of the sew sampler box? Also, where do I find the finishing instructions if it will not be a quilt along?

    1. You can do a search on YouTube, there are a few people showing their progress on the blocks but FQS isn’t doing a sew along for it. The finishing pattern will come in the March 2024 box, but they will sell all 12 blocks with the finishing pattern sometime after that.

  13. I’ll be sewing along on the Quilty Fun sew along and the Hometown Holiday Lori Holt quilts!! Kimberly you and your team are so inspiring! Enjoy your holidays and know you bring so much happiness to others!!

  14. I’m planning to join along with Piece and Quilt using lighthearted. And I have my eye on 3 of Lori Holts projects but can’t make up my mind which 2 I’m doing yet. I want to do the Moda QAL so I’m going thru my stash this weekend and checking off projects I’ve already completed so I can take that fabric off of my available list. My weird habit when it comes to quilting is I have a spreadsheet of my fabric hoard. My daughter graduated college with a degree in graphic design so she created a program for me to use in her laptop that keeps my “inventory” of fabrics in the spreadsheets. It lists it in categories by designer, year, fabric line name, and by FQ, yard, half yard, layer cake. Charm pack, mini charm pack, or jelly roll. Whenever I see a project I like then I check my sheet for what I can use and it saves me time.

  15. I’m interested in the Enchanted Stars Scrap Quilt and the block of the month by A Quilting Life. Many of the others may also inspire me. Lots of beautiful choices!

  16. Hello, Can I ask about the Shine Bright Sampler quilt using the book ‘Quilt Bee’ with Camille? What is the status of that project? Is it still starting in November, 2023? Thank you, Sarah

  17. I plan on joining in with the enchanted stars. I have Lighthearted in my stash now.

  18. I love the Quilted Scarecrow!!! Planning on sewing along. The snowman quilt is also sew adorable. Thanks for all you do!!!

  19. I love row quilts, so Lori Holt’s “Quilty Fun” looks good to me right now. I’m also looking forward to Lori’s Christmas fabric and already have her Vintage Christmas book, so that’s high on my to-do list, too.

  20. So many wonderful quilts you have shown. I am planning to do the Made with Love Quilt, Quilted Snowman, Cuddle up Sampler and Hey Violet. I am also thinking of doing the temperature quilt and the 2024 Enchanted Stars. I love the new Fabrics Fluttering Leaves, Hey Violet and I will have to order the new Tula Pink fabric and the Starberry fabric. So many projects and not enough time to do them all. Can’t wait to retire so I can sew all day.
