We’re almost ready to start our 11th Annual Charity Quilt Along, Moonbeams! Our 2024 quilt for Make-A-Wish is a dream come true with its enchanting nightscape featuring nocturnal birds and blooms. It’s nearly time to start, so let’s gather our supplies and get ready!
To make a quilt just like this one, pick up the Moonbeams Quilt Kit and Moonbeams Pieced Backing Set, available only at Fat Quarter Shop. The Moonbeams quilt is 68.5″ x 80.5″ and is best for intermediate to experienced quilters. The kit comes with all the block and finishing patterns in an exclusive keepsake box with magnetic closure.
Our Moonbeams Quilt and Cross Stitch Pattern benefit Make-a-Wish Central & South Texas. As we spread our wings to set off into our 11th Annual Charity Quilt Along, we continue to be amazed by the generosity of this sewing community and inspired by the stories of the children who have been granted life-changing Wishes. From March to September, we will publish a new pattern here on the blog on the first Friday of each month.
A companion cross stitch design is back again this year as part of the Moonbeams Stitch Along. This enchanting cross stitch design is overflowing with beautiful birds and evening stars that match the 2024 Moonbeams Charity Quilt.

We’re getting closer to our goal of $100,000 for Make-a-Wish, and when we reach $50,000 in donations, one lucky donor will receive a 1-hour virtual visit with Kimberly Jolly!
- To be entered, you will need to donate $25 or more to our Make-a-Wish campaign. If you have already donated $25 or more with your name and email (not anonymous), then you are automatically entered to win!
- Make sure that your donation is not anonymous so that we can contact you by email.
- When we reach $50,000, we will randomly select a qualifying donor and notify them by email.
Each milestone goal we hit with our Make-a-Wish fundraiser will unlock special offers and surprises! When you donate today, you’ll get us closer to our goal of granting ten wishes, and closer to awarding each special surprise.
