I wondered myself. There are tips on each picture if you click on it, but I canβt figure out how to save it and print π€·π»ββοΈ Does 3/4 yard seem like a lot of fabric to make a 5×9 zipper bag?
The instructions say you need 10″ square of each outside, lining and heat and bond.
You’re right, Marge. I think my math was off and you don’t need that much fabric. I adjusted the amounts.
Thanks Kate! Math was never my strong suit, but 3/4 yard seemed like a lot.
Tap each picture and it will show the instructions for that step.
Diane, I’m sorry but we don’t have a PDF for this. All the instructions are with the photos, which you can see full size if you click on each photo.
I find it very hard to get the zipper end on, I have had to re trim the edges multiple times and still have not been able to get it put on
I made a few of these without cutting the zipper tab off. If a long 24β zipper is used like instructions suggest, just have the OPEN end of the zipper hang off one edge about 1β, then itβs pretty easy to sew in the zipper and topstitch.
Is it best to use the canvas fabric for the zipper pouch or can I use a layer cake?
I have made several of these with my Tula Pink layer cakes. Instead of the Heat n Bond, I used pellon fusible fleece on the outside square only. They came out great.
