Wrapping Up The Stronger Together Quilt Along

Our 2024 Stronger Together Quilt Along fundraiser for the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) is complete. Thank you to everyone who donated, shared a post, or quilted along! Read on to learn about a fun giveaway for those who quilted along.

With your help, we are able to donate $10,225 to UNCF!!

During the month of February, we shared a free pattern highlighting activist Ruby Bridges and quilted along together to raise money for UNCF to increase the total annual number of African American college graduates. Our fundraising page is still open and accepting donations.

Our 2024 quilt designers, Mary Davis (@marygoroundquilts), Shereece Nicole (@sewhookedontreasures), Jeresther Page (@sew_sweet_seebee), and Vickeidy Plybon (@sewspicious), captured the incredible story of Ruby Bridges through their block designs.

Our quilt went to the fabulous quilter and longarmer Michelle Ramsay of @quilts_madewithlove to be quilted – hop over to her account to see how it turned out! Michelle designed last year’s Stronger Together quilt, and she’s generously donating the grand prize giveaway, a free longarm service for one lucky quilt! ⁠

If you have not yet quilted your quilt and would like to enter to win a free longarming for your Stronger Together 2024 quilt by Michelle Ramsay of Quilts Made with Love, here’s how to enter:

• On Instagram, follow @fatquartershop and @quilts_madewithlove
• Share a photo on Instagram of your quilt top with the hashtag #FQSStrongerTogether2024 AND tag @quilts_madewithlove
• Post your photo by midnight on Thursday, March 14, 2024. Your account should be public so we can see it.
• The winner will chosen at random and notified on Instagram!

One “quilt” in particular caught our eye. The staff at the Caroline County Library Ladysmith Branch in Ruther Glen, Virginia made their “quilt” using scrapbook paper. We love how creative this is!
