I love this design, such a fun quilt!!!
I am so excited to stich along with everyone making this fun quilt. I do have a question: In reading the pattern, I don’t see “J” on the pattern, only on the cutting instructions page. I assume it is the aqua colored segment that flanks the top/bottom of the bottom unit, however, it looks from the diagram that there are 2 (presumably) “J” segments that are sewn together. If so, there are not enough “J” segments (72 for the lap size) to complete the lap pattern. When I do the math, it seems they do not get sewn together. What am I missing? Thanks, Jan Williams
I can totally see where the confusion is! On page three of the pattern, the first diagram shows where the “J” pieces go (on the top and bottom of the bobbin block, you’re right!). Because of the font on the letter “J”, it can look like a line (making the “J” piece look like it’s two rectangles pieced together) when it is just the label. If you compare it to the finished block diagram next to it, you can see more clearly that the “J” pieces are one piece for the top and one piece for the bottom. I hope that this explanation makes sense! If it is still confusing, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our customer service team by phone (1.866.826.2069) or email (service@fatquartershop.com)—they’re so so helpful with questions like this!
I think I am confused. Isn’t Strippy Spools supposed to be a “sew along?” I am not able to find the video for today (Saturday 5/24). Where do I find it? I cut “Kim’s way” and really need to see how she puts these blocks together. TIS

Good morning. I thought this was a sew along and I can’t find the first video to sew along with. I must be missing something. Thank you for any help you can provide.
