Happy Spooky September, stitchers! This spooky cute pillow made by stitchy staffer Denise got so much love on the August 14th Livestream that we brought you a quick tutorial here on the blog. We can’t wait to see your versions of the Spooky Cute Cross Stitch Pillow over on the hashtag #FQSSpookySeptember!
How to Get Spooky, Cute, and Comfy:
- Choose 4 ornaments from the Spooky Cute Ornaments collection and stitch them up!
- Stitchy staffer Denise used 32 Count Laguna Pink and the called for Classic Colorworks thread.
- Make sure you only work with 32 Count or 16 Count Aida. Any other size will not fit with the block pattern.
- Using fabric from the Hey Boo Collection by Lella Boutique for Moda Fabrics, piece the Hocus Pocus Block Pattern from Susan Ache’s book Halloween Memories.
- With right sides together, sew the Hocus Pocus Block to a 7.5″ x 7.5″ piece of backing fabric with a 1/4″ seam allowance, leaving a two-inch gap along one of the seams.
- Turn right side out and fill with Polyfill, then stitch the opening closed.
