Spelling Bee Sew Along: Week 4

 

Get back to school with our Spelling Bee Sew Along featuring the Spelling Bee Book! We are beyond excited to start week 4 of the Sew Along!

The Spelling Bee Book is by Lori Holt of Bee in my Bonnet and features complete instructions for 100 letter, number, punctuaction and picture blocks in two sizes plus 18 quilt projects!

This Sew Along will feature 88 of the blocks from the Spelling Bee Book! Lasting 44 weeks, our Sew Along will feature 2 blocks from the book each week. We are featuring the Apple and Bee blocks in the fourth week of the Spelling Bee Sew Along!

  1. There is a cutting error in the bee block.
    At the head of the bee, the little blocks
    should be 1 inch square – not two inches
    square! Makes a big difference.

      I have checked the book, and for the corner squares on the head of the bee, it is Fabric H – 1.25″ squares. THe Fabric B – 2″ square is for the bee rear end (? stinger? LOL)

        1. HI Kathi! We write our cutting instructions according to the sizes Lori Holt uses in her samples. If you like the look of the smaller size, you should absolutely use that for your block!
