Spell it Out with Moda

Moda Fabrics is giving quilters, crafters, and sewists a voice. A voice to express themselves, encourage each other, and offer comfort during times of change! With the power of words, we can offer hope, offer comfort, and be heroes for each other. To help you communicate the words you have to say, Moda has released the FREE Spell It with Fabric Pattern.

What words mean the most to you during this time? Community. Peace. Love. The COVID-19 Pandemic has brought the quilting community even closer than ever before, and we’re so proud to be part of it!

As quilters and makers, we express ourselves in patterns, fabric and thread.  But there are times when that’s not enough, so we spell it with fabric.

Spell it Out started as a blog hop and quickly spread into a trend throughout the crafting community. To join in, you just need your words, whichever means the most to you and some 2.5” strips of fabric. The letters are easily made with Jelly Rolls but Layer Cakes, Fat Eighths and Fat Quarters will do, too.

What will your Jelly Rolls tell the world?

Create your own message and quilt it up! Share your message with your neighborhood or with our community through social media. These projects are done to spread love and craft! Teach someone in your home how to Spell it Out or make a gift that says what you truly feel that can be shared when we get through this. We will get through this, and we’ll do it together!
