We’re celebrating our quilting community with a free block of the week quilt along called the Sewcialites Quilt Along. We’ve joined forces with 18 talented designers to bring you a free 38-week quilt along with amazing sampler blocks and sew many options! This week’s designer is Anne Sutton, a Moda fabric designer who brings Christmas cheer to us all year long with her beautiful fabrics. Her long-awaited winter collection, Crystal Lane, is now available for reservation! Anne designed the Compassion block! Anne sewed up her Compassion block with Porcelain by 3 Sisters! She made all three sizes of the Compassion block, but her favorite is the 6″ block (she collects them!). This block is an easy one, and Anne recommends thoroughly starching and pressing your fabric before you cut it because starch helps to prevent any raveling and it gives the fabric more body. Kimberly is sewing with the Homestead collection by April Rosenthal for Moda Fabrics. She made her blocks in all three sizes for a fun challenge.
