We’re celebrating our quilting community with a free block of the week quilt along called the Sewcialites Quilt Along. We’ve joined forces with 18 talented designers to bring you a free 38-week quilt along with amazing sampler blocks and sew many options! This week’s designer, Robin Pickens is a designer of colorful florals for Moda fabrics! She is a modern to transitional quilt designer, an Illustrator, sewist, and crafter! Robin designed Abundant! Robin sewed up her 6″ and 3″ Abundant blocks from her fabric collection Thatched for Moda Fabrics. On Robins’s blog, she will be taking her block and showing it with an alternate idea of making the body of a flower with patchwork squares! She made (3) 9″ Abundant blocks with her Solana fabric collection and put them together to make a cute table runner, that she will also be teaching us how to sew up on her blog! Kimberly is sewing with the Homestead collection by April Rosenthal for Moda Fabrics. She made her blocks in all three sizes for a fun challenge.
