Sew Colorful Fat Quarter Club February

Welcome to our second month of the Sew Colorful Fat Quarter Club! Inspired by our 2018 Year of the Fat Quarter Bundles, this club colors outside the lines, and each month will bring a new color of prints and coordinated basics curated by Fat Quarter Shop! Read on to learn about a fun monthly giveaway we’re doing for club members.

This month, we’re featuring pink blenders in our February 2019 Sew Colorful Fat Quarter Bundle! The Sew Colorful Monthly Subscription bundles ship on the 29th (or in this case, the 28th) of each month, and it’s a fun way to get a sampling of fat quarters from many collections. February’s bundle includes fat quarters from Simple Goodness, Farm Girl Vintage, In the Meadow, and Vintage Keepsake by Riley Blake Designs. It also has prints from Little Snippets and 30’s Playtime 2018 by Moda Fabrics.

What to do with all those fat quarters? Sew up a quilt block by block with our Sew Colorful Spools Quilt Along! Corey Yoder of Coriander Quilts designed the Spools Quilt Pattern.  This pattern is great for using up fabric scraps you have from other quilt projects.

Throughout 2019, around the 4th of each month, we will be featuring blocks by Kimberly Jolly and Corey Yoder as they sew their way through the Sew Colorful Spools Pattern. If you’d like to sew along with us, pick up your copy of the Sew Colorful Spools Quilt Pattern and join us!  We’ll have prizes for Sew Colorful Club members that are quilting along. Each month, members participating with the hashtag #sewcolorfulqal on Instagram will be entered to win a prize of thread and notions that go with the color of the month.

Quilt Designer Corey Yoder

The designs Corey Yoder creates and publishes for Coriander Quilts showcase her love for putting a modern twist on traditional block designs. She is a regular contributor to quilt magazines and books, and she is the author of Playful Petals. Quilt design quickly led to fabric design and she has been designing for Moda Fabrics since 2014. Her newest fabric collection is called Sunny Side Up.
