  1. I'd use the Cotton Couture Solids Charm Pack and would add some texture with some V&Co. Simply Color for the handle and lining.

  2. Your creativity inspires me.:). I would like to become a good seamstress and seeing such clever patterns is inspirational. Happy Holidays. 🙂

  3. I would like it in the very cute "Bungle Jungle" by Tim and Beck for Moda. It would make a super cute diaper bag/new mom baby shower gift!

  4. 2wenty Thr3e by Eric and Julie Comstock of Cosmo Cricket for Moda Fabrics is my choice for this pattern !

  5. Testament to a great pattern that this would look great in so many different fabrics! But I think Indochine would be great to pick up on the piecing that is almost like a basket weave.

  6. I love to see the bag in "mama said sew" from moda, of course I use it to go to the quilting bees,
    thanks for the chance,
    katelijn

  7. What a cute purse! I would choose Heaven & Helsinki by Patty Young for Michael Miller Fabrics, because bright and fun purses need bright and fun fabrics!

  8. My choice would be Mama Said Sew by Sweetwater, which I love! It would be really fun both to make and use. Thanks!

  9. I've been looking for a winter bag and that pattern with Nancy's Holiday Favorites by Benartex would be perfect!

  10. I would love to make this bag in Simply Color by V & Co. What a gorgeous pattern. Love this blog feature – offers so much inspiration. Thanks!

  11. Love novelty prints and showing them off in a purse – had a hard choice to make – narrowed it down to these four first – Get a Clue (Moda); Mama Said Sew by Moda; Winter Elegance by Moda (Yes – I love season purses); and 2wenty Thr3e by Moda…………..so I guess if I had to pick one that reflected me – it would be Mama Said Sew by Sweetwater (Moda) – This is a purse that reflects my love of sewing, patterns, words, etc and the colors are so elegant yet simple.

  12. I would love to make this with Amethyst by Exclusively Quilters when it becomes available. Purple is my favorite color and when I saw this in the "coming soon" section, it became my new favorite line.

  13. My choice would be Tapestry by Fig Tree for Moda. If not using a charm pack then using Pear Marakesh as the bag and Tangerine Mosaic as the handles. 🙂

  14. LaBelle Fleur by French General would be my pick. Thanks for the chance and it would be great if I was the winner. 😉

  15. I was just looking at this pattern about a week ago. I am tired of the bag I am carrying and wanted something darker for winter. I like Joyfully Round the Garden by Mary Engelbreit for Andover Fabrics. This new collection would be perfect, sort of a Bohemian feel and a variety of lights and darks, prints and solids. stampandsewforfun@gmail.com.

  16. I think this bag would look great done in Autumn Moon by Faye Burgos — that big bold floral and the aged texture prints would make a bag that I'd be proud to carry! 🙂

  17. My mother loves dark, accented purses for winter, so I think Aster by Williamsburg for Windham Fabrics would make a lovely purse for her.

  18. I would love to make this in Noteworthy by Sweetwater by Moda Fabrics. I think it is right on trend.
Thanks for the newsletter, I look forward to it every week.
    Regards, Bonnie

  19. I would love to have this bag in Aster. Wouldn't that be a classic? I love to see something playful made in a more sophisticated line or colorway.

  20. I would like to make this bag in Chesapeake by Williamsburg for Windham Fabrics. The gorgeous blues and yellows would make a bag that was classically stylish and perfect for spring and summer.

  21. I would use some Simply Color ombre fabrics. Blues and purples on one side, pinks and reds on the other. If you mix the saturation of the colors a bit (dark pink next to light orange for example) you can get quite the showstopper 🙂

  22. I htink the vibrant jewel tones and gorgeous mod stylings of Cocoon by
Valori Wells for Free Spirit Fabrics would be perfect for the Brooklyn Bag!

  23. "Out to Sea" by Sarah Jane for Michael Miller – I adore navy and white nautical purses, and this pattern demands just that little bit of whimsy…

  24. I think the bag would be stunning using the silent film kona cotton solids. Solids are in, and the shades of gray would be fabulous!
    Janice

  25. I would definitely love this bag in Honey Honey by Kate Spain. Seeing the colors laid out in the Honey Honey Project Sheet makes me want to get my hands on this collection and organize them by hue!

  26. Most definitely Simply Color by V and Co! The ombre solids would make such an interesting design in the patchwork!

  27. I would do Seaside Cottage by Heather Mulder-Peterson for Henry Glass…..I like the browns and blues especially with the mosaic prints!

  28. This bag would look great in almost any fabric but I would love to see it made up in Shimmer by Timeless Treasures. I think it would look gorgeous.

  29. There are so many fabrics lines these days that would be fabulous, but I think I would first choose, Mama Said Sew.

  30. Olive the Ostrich for Me…..
Fun quirky welcome to spring and Valentine's Day.

  31. How about something sweet and fun using a combo of Pam Kitty Mornings Amour Love, Crush Love, Delight Love and Enchantment Love and line it with PKL Red Patchwork Panel and do fussy cut for trim and handles using PKL White Pam Kitty Panel. Now wouldn't' that be just to stinkin' cute? I would be the envy of my pals.

  32. I would do this pattern in Riley Blakes "Willow". with its soft greys, yellows and pink, I think it would be fantastic in this pattern

  33. Love the purse and Old Glory Gatherings is great! Nothing better than red, white and blue!!

  34. I'd love to own the Enchantment Pam Kitty Love collection by
Pam Kitty Morning/Lakehouse. Sophisticated, but still fun!

  35. 2-Mystique 5" Stackers
Lila Tueller for Riley Blake Designs for the bag with Holiday Flourish 5 Red Snowflake for the 1 yard needed for the lining, handles and binding

  36. For me, "Get a Clue with Nancy Drew"…I'm so psyched it just came in since my daughter and I love all things Drew. It would make quite a daring detective bag in that line.

  37. I live in Belgium and I discover this blog a few time ago. I like moda La belle fleur. It would be a good choice for this bag.

  38. Kenya Maasai Mara by Dear Stella! These prints would look fabulous on the Brooklyn bag!

    Thank you,
    Amy

  39. The Brooklyn Bag would be beautiful in Birds and Berries by Lauren and Jessi Jung for Moda. This is one of the prettiest lines I've seen in a long time, and I've made a bag and wallet out of it, and love it. The scale and values in this line are perfect for the rectangles in the body of The Brooklyn Bag because the fabric will really show off the design details of the bag.

  40. I think this bag would look fabulous in Abigail by BJ Lantz for Quilting Treasures. The colors are fabulous! 🙂

  41. I think this would look great in so many different lines. I'd love to see it in Abigale.

Thank you for a great giveaway and a chance to win.

  42. Love the purse & need a new one in some darker colors so Cinnamon Spice by Blackbird Designs for Moda would be my choice! Thaks for the chance to win a great GC!

  43. I'm envisioning this bag in the [future-release] "Sew Be It!" range by Debi Hron for Henry Glass Fabrics or "Sew Stitchy" by Aneela Hoey for Moda, to hold all my sewing bits and bobs when I go out-of-house to sew.

I could also see it in Moda's "Marmalade" by Bonnie & Camille or "Papillon" by 3 Sisters, for an everyday-use bag.

    Thanks for the giveaway!!

  44. I would choose Elegance Splendor 1920 by Bari J. for Art Gallery Fabrics. The bag design brings my imagination to a warm summer day, roaming over the plaza's and through the streets of Barcelona, Spain with a light summer dress. The warm colors of these fabrics go great together with it!

  45. I did the pattern with the charm pack "little black dress" and I really like the result. Even my husband said: waouh, but this bag is for you, don't give it away….

    Greetings
    Judith
