Leaves are falling, and Autumn is calling! We’re heading to the pumpkin patch this October, stalking through corn mazes, and crossing our stitches. Join me for the annual Stitch-Tober Stitch Along as we spend 45 days stitching up fall or Halloween-themed designs with Lori Holt of Bee in my Bonnet! You can join us by stitching a new pattern every day, a new pattern each week, or spend your October working on one big piece.
Stitch-tober begins October 1 and will carry on until November 15! I am monogamously stitching up Lori Holt’s new Autumn Love pattern and nothing else this year. If you’d like to stitch this piece you can find supplies for it on the Stitch-tober Supplies Page and below.
Stitch Lori Holt’s Autumn Love
Lori Holt’s Autumn Love is the perfect project to remind us of all the things we love about fall! I love this pattern and know you will too. It’s nostalgic and classic.
I will be stitching this pattern alongside Lori all Stitch-tober long. I’ll tell you what I am using to stitch it so you can decide how you’d like your finished piece to look.
Autumn Love Supplies
I love numbers, so I set a goal to stitch 500 stitches per day throughout Stitch-tober. You can learn all about Autumn Love and why you should start in the center if you’re following along with me in this September 7 Fat Quarter Shop Flosstube video.

- Lori Holt’s Autumn Love DMC Thread Pack & Floss Keeper
- Autumn Love Needle Minder
- I will be stitching on Barley 25 Count Lugana Vintage Cross Stitch Cloth by Lori Holt for Zweigart
- Lori will be stitching on Cream & Sugar 36 Count Edinburgh Linen by Fiber on a Whim
- If you don’t want to worry about having to start in the center to avoid running out of horizontal space then I recommend you use Lambswool 14 Count 25″ x 36″ by Wichelt Imports.
Autumn Love Finishing
Lori Holt finished this piece by lacing the back, which you can learn about in her DIY How to Frame Cross Stitch video, then gluing it to a Moose Head Wood Wall Decor by Hobby Lobby (SKU# 1644319).
This frame comes with either a metal moose or bear inside it, which she removed to make room for the Autumn Love piece. You can see how easy it is to remove the metal in this September 7 Fat Quarter Shop Flosstube video.
I am showing my progress and stitching on the Fat Quarter Shop FlossTube Channel throughout all of Stitch-tober.

You have plenty of time to gather all the supplies and choose your patterns. In the meantime, I recommend choosing how you would like to stay organized and keep track of all your projects and supplies.
We have a FREE Downloadable Calendar available to help you stay organized. You can also pick up our Cross Stitch Journal which allows you to record every detail for every cross stitch project you choose, such as pattern, designer, time spent, and floss and cloth used.
