Celebrate Stitch-tober with Lori Holt of Bee in my Bonnet

Welcome to Stitch-tober! This nine-day stitch-fest has been a social media tradition for years, and this year we’re joining in, too! The concept of Stitch-tober is to stitch your favorite fall patterns in October. Here at the Fat Quarter Shop, we’re beginning October 9 and stitching each day through October 17. We have a few special treats for you, so read on to find out more!

Free Cross Stitch Pattern

For Stitch-tober we’re releasing a FREE cross stitch chart for a choose-your-own stitching adventure! This three-by-three grid can be filled with your favorite cross stitch designs for a unique creation to usher in the season. Motifs, cloth and floss colors are all up to you! We’ve stitched our own versions already and will share with you our ideas to help inspire your stitching. We’d love to see what YOU make, too!

Kimberly sewed hers in pastels, sewed into a pillow. Lori’s Happy Harvest theme looks amazing in this frame with sweet gingham details.

Kimberly Jolly joined her friend Lori Holt, of Bee in my Bonnet, to stitch a new design for each of the nine squares. They chose designs from a selection of Lori Holt cross stitch patterns, adding their favorite designs to the FREE downloadable grid.

The Stitch-tober Cross Stitch design has a stitch count of 90 wide x 90 high, and Kimberly stitched her sample on 25 Count Pewter Lugana. Lori stitched hers on 25 Count Oatmeal Lugana. However, you can choose a cloth count and type that works for you.

Kimberly sewed a pillow to display her Stitch-tober design. How cozy is that? And right in time for fall decorating.

Lori Holt painted her frame using the new Chalky Chicks paint! Frames, furniture and wood pieces look more unique with the vintage touch of this paint collection.
