We’re back for another season of blog remixes! We saw the great response to the remixed projects from last year and are continuing them for another year! The blog remixes will be throwing it back to one of our tutorials with new fabrics, notions, and tips and tricks to inspire you to make your next project. Whether you’ve seen this project before or it’s your first time, there’s a remix project for everyone. The sixth remix of our second season of blog remixes is the Road Trip Pillow Bag, which is perfect for summer trips. It’s a portable pillowcase with a handy pocket for reading materials (or maybe an eye mask?).
This project only requires two cuts of quilting cotton. You can choose one main fabric and another one for the accent on the top and handles. Gather these supplies, and then follow this tutorial for step-by-step instructions.
- 7/8 yard of the main print
- 1/2 yard of accent print
- 12″ x 16″ pillow form
- 1 spool of 50wt Aurifil Thread
We even had some awesome quilty friends make their version of the Road Trip Pillow Bags! We love seeing the different fabrics they made theirs from and the tips they have to share.
