We’re thrilled to share the excitement about our upcoming quilt along celebrating Lori Holt! In honor of the 10th anniversary of Lori Holt’s Quilty Fun Quilt book, her first book with Fat Quarter Shop, we’re delighted to announce The Quilty Fun Row Along from March April 2024 to March 2025. We invite you to join us for a year of festive fun as we recreate Lori Holt’s popular Bee in My Bonnet Row Along Quilt.
A decade ago, Lori Holt and Fat Quarter Shop initiated the Quilty Fun Sew Along and Blog Tour, sewing the iconic Bee in my Bonnet Row Along Quilt to mark the book’s release. Now, as we celebrate this milestone, we invite you to join us on a year-long quilty fun row along sewing this 68.5″ x 86.5″ quilt. All the supplies are listed on the Quilty Fun Supplies Page and below.

Lori plans to share a video tutorial on the 4-Patch row on her YouTube Channel. We don’t have any additional tutorials planned after that, but you can find all the instructions for the blocks in the book. This is a great quilt along for beginners because the rows start out simple and get more challenging as we go.
Kimberly is sewing with a variety of fabrics designed by Lori Holt for Riley Black Designs. These fabrics include selections from Bee Cross Stitch, Bee Basics, Mercantile, Prairie, Home Town, Cook Book, Bee Dots, Bee Plaids, Calico, Bee Vintage and more. Mark your calendars! The Quilty Fun Row Along runs for eleven months, from March April 2024 to March 2025. We initially planned to start in March, but recently moved the start of this quilt along to April so that everyone has time to receive their fabrics. We’re sharing our progress on the last Friday of every month. Share your progress and follow along on “Quilty Fun Fridays” on social media with the hashtag #QuiltyFunRowAlong.

When Lori’s book first came out, my best friend and I did the row along together. We each did 2 rows of half the quilt and exchanged our rows. She made me the cutest label. You guys are going to have a blast! I love my Lori Holt Quilty fun quilt!!
