We’re ready to start sewing our 11th Annual Charity Quilt, Moonbeams! Let’s get started on the first pattern and release the Doves! We can’t wait to start sewing with you. Be sure to read on for our first Moonbeams Charity Cross Stitch release.
DOWNLOAD THE DOVE BLOCKS PATTERN
The first pattern release is the Dove Blocks and they’re ready to fly! You’ll need to make two of these for the quilt. We’re sewing with the Strawberry Lemonade collection designed by Sherri & Chelsi for Moda Fabrics. If you’re sewing with something different, download the fabric requirements to make this year’s charity quilt.
Sew Along with Kimberly!
On March 1st at 9 AM CT (7 AM PT/10 AM ET), tune in to the Fat Quarter Shop YouTube Channel, and sew along with Kimberly Jolly as she shows you how to make the Dove Blocks in a special pre-recorded livestream.

Thanks to you we get to grant wishes like Abby’s! She wished to go to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and because of this wonderful community she was able to. Abby and her sister, Belle, both suffer from a rare metabolic disorder. Abby and her family thoroughly enjoyed the once in a lifetime experience!
As we soar into our 11th Annual Charity Quilt, we continue to be amazed by the generosity of this sewing community and inspired by the stories of the children who have been granted life-changing Wishes. We encourage you to donate just $10 for the use of each free quilt pattern or a total of $50. For the cross stitch patterns, we are asking for a $20 donation. No amount is too small, and every bit counts.
Fundraising Surprises for Moonbeams
We are so excited to be announcing that along with having the block patterns for Moonbeams, each milestone goal we hit with our Make-a-Wish fundraiser will unlock special offers and surprises! When your donations reach each $20,000 milestone you will unlock the next one! When you donate today, you’ll get us closer to our goal of granting ten wishes, and closer to unveiling each special surprise.
Last week we hosted a Charity Cross Stitch Raffle to help us get closer to our Moonbeams fundraising goal. Thanks to everyone who participated we were able to raise $3,945 bringing us to a total of $15,414 raised so far for Make-A-Wish! Thank you to everyone who entered, winners have all been contacted via email.
Moonbeams Cross Stitch
A companion cross stitch design is back again this year as part of the Moonbeams Stitch Along! This enchanting cross stitch design features nocturnal birds and blooms, just like the 2024 Charity Quilt.
