A half an hour before opening the box, I had been looking in my local department store’s craft section for Microtex needles after hearing Edyta Sitar mention them in one of your videos with her. I was so excited to see the needles in the box. My hubby was sitting there when I opened it and saw me get excited. He was confused for a minute, as he didn’t realize the Sew Sampler boxes are surprises. He said, “Don’t you know what you ordered?” when I expressed surprised delight over the needles. 🙂 Fabric is gorgeous and so cute! I’ll probably make two wall hanging size quilts instead of the one larger one.
Glad to get the sewing machine needles. I had wanted a Dresden plate ruler so that was great. Will put the antique spool of Ric-Rac in my shadow box in sewing room. Fabric is cute but really don’t need anymore jelly rolls. Fat quarters or fat eighths in reproduction would be welcome.

I wish I could be as excited as everyone else. This box was probably my least favorite box. I already have the ruler, my machine does not like Schmetz needles, not a fan of Ric Rac, pattern did nothing for me. I do like the jelly roll but not worth the price of the entire box. I just might have to regift this box. Sorry, it is impossible to make everyone happy and I have been happy many times with prior boxes.
I’ve been sewing for 50 years but have never quilted until now. This was my first box and I was pleased. Although it isn’t fabric I would have chosen I’ll use it! I’m looking forward to future boxes and expanding my skills.

$19.00 for 3 yards of ric-rack? I would have rather had a full jelly roll and I could have gone to my local Joannes and bought ric-rack.
Really liked this box. Excited to work on the dresden plate flowers. After checking the enclosed card, I find that the cost listed for the 3yds. of ric rack was $4.98 not $ 19.00 as stated in the above message. Keep up the good work on providing great boxes for us.

OK. Someone at FQS was playing games with me. I was looking on-line a the 12-yard spools. Those are priced at 18.98.

I enjoyed opening my surprise box this month and every other . I started this year with a monthly gift to myself and am glad I did . Thank you FQS for having this offer for us to enjoy and be able to treat ourselves each month.
I am a newbe to Fat Quarter Club. Everything received so far has been pretty and very useful. It would be nice to see some fabrics offered that are more contemporary and adult oriented.
For the ric-rack the website says $18.98 for Petite Riley Green Large Vintage Trim 3 yard Spool Lori Holt of Bee in my Bonnet #STVT-10402. Probably mis-marked? I liked everything in the box except the pattern – love Dresdens but not this particular design.
This box was a nice surprise. I loved the extras, the needles and ruler (although I already have one) and ric-rack. I already used the ric-rack in another quilt but find the price too expensive to buy more.
I think the pattern is cute too and was kind of torn about the fabric but other’s enthusiasm is contagious. 🙂
I would like to see more variety in the colors, but I’ve only missed one box since the beginning, so I’m guessing that’s why I see this color way so often.

Very nice box — loved the fabric, needed the needles, appreciate the Dresden templates, nice rick rack (cool vintage spool) and was overall pleased with the box. I wasn’t crazy about the pattern, but that would make a cool pillow with some modifications. Thanks!
