We can’t believe it but we are on the final week of the 2018 Summer Book Club! This week’s featured author is one of our good friends, Moda fabric designer, pattern designer and quilting book author Joanna Figueroa of Fig Tree Quilts! Joanna has always had a knack for art and design but the moment she discovered fabric and quilting, it was immediately her favorite medium to design on!
This week we are featuring Joanna’s first book with It’s Sew Emma, The Christmas Figs Block of the Month Book! Joanna has created a beautiful sampler quilt to spice up the holidays in her first book with It’s Sew Emma! This quilt is great for confident beginners to experienced quilters using basic piecing techniques and some applique.
The sampler quilt was made using Joanna’s collection, Christmas Figs for Moda Fabrics! The book comes with the complete patterns for all 10 blocks of the sampler quilt and 10 coordinating Christmas Goodies projects!
Joanna has even designed some coordinating patterns using her Christmas Figs collection: the Christmas Flowers Quilt Pattern, the Christmas Manor Quilt Pattern, and the Yuletide Snowflake Quilt Pattern.
