It's Time to Wrap Up the Christmastime Mystery Quilt and Stitch Along - The Jolly Jabber Quilting Blog

It’s Time to Wrap Up the Christmastime Mystery Quilt and Stitch Along

It is time to wrap up the Christmastime Mystery Quilt and Stitch Along and share with you all the finishing details! We hope you’ll read on and find them as full of cheer as we do.

Christmastime Mystery Quilt

We’re using Linen Eyelet from Christmas Stitched by Fig Tree Quilts for Moda Fabrics for the Christmastime Mystery Quilt background and borders to finish the quilt top.

We wrapped up our Christmastime Mystery Quilt by binding it with Pomegranate Chunky Gingham and using our remaining Layer Cakes from Christmas Stitched by Fig Tree Quilts for Moda Fabrics to make a pieced backing. There are still a few Christmastime Mystery Quilt Kits left if you want to make one just like ours!

All the details are in the Christmastime Mystery Quilt Along Finishing Video below.

If you missed the quilt along, you can find the free patterns and tutorial on the Christmastime Mystery Quilt and Stitch Along blog post.

Christmastime Mystery Cross Stitch

Our Christmastime Mystery Cross Stitch was finished by Priscilla Blain with Stitching with the Housewives Stripes Red and White on the Rustic Wood Tray Set (SKU# 1334184) from Hobby Lobby.

This is just one idea. You can find free cross stitch finishing tutorials and ideas in the How to Finish Cross Stitch playlist on Fat Quarter Shop FlossTube. You can finish your Christmastime Mystery Stitch any way you want! We have seen a lot of cute ones on Instagram under the #ChristmastimeSAL hashtag!

Wrapping Up and What’s Next?

Share your finished makes with #ChristmastimeQAL and #ChristmastimeSAL. Don’t forget to tag @fatquartershop or @fqsxstitch, so we don’t miss them!

Keep an eye on things here at the Jolly Jabber in the next few weeks and months because we have many more quilt alongs and stitch alongs coming your way.

  1. What a cute little wallhanging that would be! I have saved the clues and will be trying to get it done this year! Thank you for another fun and cute ( and free) project! 🙂

  2. I just loved this! I’m on my last block. I had surgery last month, and I decided to hand sew this project during my recovery. So so satisfying and fun! Thanks so much!
