Vintage Milkmaid’s Star Foundation Paper by Lori Holt
The latest addition to Lori’s series of foundation papers is the Vintage Milkmaid’s Star Quilt Block, which comes in 12″ and 6″ blocks. Each paper pad makes 10 Vintage Milkmaid’s Star Blocks, and, as always, we have a free video tutorial to guide you through the process!
Vintage Milkmaid’s Star Challenge Dates and Details
From July 10th to August 10th, we are challenging you, our community, to make just one block using the Vintage Milkmaid’s Star Foundation Paper. The only request is that you get creative! You can show your creativity in any number of ways—through fabric choices, fussy cutting, layout variation, or creative color placement. The main goal is to show how one foundation paper pattern can look completely different depending on the maker’s vision.
Challenge Requirements
- Use 6″ or 12″ Vintage Milkmaid’s Star Foundation Paper Pad to make one block (or however many you want, we won’t be mad if you make a few more)
- Use whatever fabrics you want—the more creative, the better!
- Post a photo or reel of your block and tag @fatquartershop so we can see it
- Include a short caption about your inspiration
Weekly Feature
Each week, we will pick 3-5 blocks and repost them on our stories! For a chance to have your block picked, all you have to do is tag @fatquartershop in your photo or reel.
Tagging us in your caption means we might not see it, and we don’t want that to happen!
Giveaway
Along with featuring some of your blocks in our stories, we will also have one giveaway winner each week, and the lucky winners will receive a $50 Fat Quarter Shop Gift Card! Open to the US and International!
