In the Block 4 tutorial, Kimberly covers how to sew the Half-Square Triangle Four Patch, which will teach you to make a very popular and versatile quilt motif, the half-square triangle. Half-square triangles (or HST’s) can be used in a variety of ways. Learn best practices for working with bias edge of the fabric, chain piecing, and sewing triangles. A Pattern Tip
Once you’ve assembled your block you may notice that the fabric extends a little bit beyond the triangle seams along the edges. That’s perfectly normal, and that extra will go away once the block is sewn into your quilt.
