  1. The links from the blog don’t seem to be live and I’m not able to find any of the videos for this month’s box online.

    1. I’m sorry that we are late getting the tutorial out, but we will link that up when it’s ready – in a few days.

  2. The last 2 boxes were more modern, both had cleaning supplies…I REALLY hope the next box is a little more FQS’ish like the ones in the past. Reason many of us signed up was because the box was not modern, was from our favorite cozy designers and always had amazing designed items.

Please don’t fix what wasn’t broken!

    1. I, love the variety of fabrics and patterns and gadgets. I don’t go out much due to a back injury so all of this is brand new to me. I think it is good to stretch your horizons. If I don’t think I will not use something I put in a box and share it with my quilting groups at end of year. It’s a win, win for all of my friends and me. So, thank you Fat Quarter Shop. I love every box!

      1. I just recieved my first sew sampler box and I am thrilled with it! Love everything in it! Thank you FQS!

      2. I like how you mix things up, traditional, modern & in between. It’s nice to explore new things!💖

    2. I agree Michelle! Cozy and feminine is why I have been with fqs for over a year. There are other subscription boxes out there for those who prefer more modern. Your right, don’t fix what is not broken.

  3. I really, really loved this box (and the last box too).
But I can‘t find the link and/or video to the mentioned tutorial.

    1. I am also looking for the tutorial for the Diamond Divide quilt. Can’t find it. Help!

    2. I’m sorry that we are late getting the tutorial out, but we will link that up when it’s ready – in a few days.

    3. Who wants the same ole thing month after month? Quit complaining, it drags the whole surprise element down.

  4. I have enjoyed the sampling of different types of fabric that I wouldn’t normally purchase. Loved the cleaning brushes and used them right away. I would enjoy reading more uses for the Maker Tape, reminds me of tape in our first aid kit. I am always happy to receive the 10 inch squares of fabric.

  5. I am delighted to receive more modern fabrics! I’ve been sewing quilts so long it’s fun to receive the current trends instead of the same old cuties.love the organizer!!

  6. I love this box very much, it is like somebody was reading my mind as I was thinking about buying this mini organizer exactly in that color 🙂 The only thing, that I do not know if to use it or not, is the Maker tape…I read in its description that the chemicals in it are known to cause cancer 🙁

    1. I’m sorry that we are late getting the tutorial out, but we will link that up when it’s ready – in a few days.

  7. Best overall box yet. But I dearly love the felt pressing mat last month, so much so I had to get a larger one. I really appreciate new products even when small or sample size, let’s me know if I’ll use it and need a larger size. Thanks for your thoughtfulness.

  8. Great Box!! I loved everything!! It was love at first sight when I saw the fabric. The cleaning brushes are exactly like I wished for a sewing machine brush (the fat heads are way better than the cheap ones that came with my machine). And it is awesome to get stuff to maintain my machines as well as all the other items. Thanks again for the wonderful boxes you provide each month! And the variety!

    1. Yes, that felt pressing pad is perfect for small blocks. All time favorite notion in the box!

  9. I’m not a quilter but I love modern quilts and paper piecing and Violet Craft! Love the Lucious colors too. I’ve used the mini organizers and its nice to have an extra for another part of my workspace. The brush set was THE BEST! I loved everything about this months sampler box. Where is the tutorial? I AM going to make this quilt!

  10. Love it! I normally have bought fall and winter fabric but I’m trying to add some brightness and designs. I’m also happy about the variety of useful things to add to my toolbox. Great job!

  11. Loved it!!! Made my day! Loved the cleaning kit and all the color in the fabric!!! Awesome box !!

  12. Ditto to all of the above comments. The little aqua box is the greatest and most fun thing to get every month! Totally enjoyable as well as useful! Also expands my sewing and quilting knowledge by introducing me to new products and techniques. Thank you FQS.

  13. This is my first goodie box! I love it! Makes me go out of my box and do something I haven’t tried. Thank you! I have also already order a few items from the box for family and friends for Christmas!

  14. I found the box quite nice. Have used the tape and find lots of uses for it. Leaves no residue but adheres well. Especially like it for rulers and templates. Have made copies of the pattern and look forward to using the gorgeous fabric.

  15. My first box and I loved it. Everything was perfect. Especially love the fabric and pattern. Thank you!!

  16. I also love the fabric and will probably order another set (I love anything rainbow so it’s right up my alley) . I like getting sewing notions because they are useful and mostly new to me (and I hate getting lapel pins and bandaids).

  17. Fabulous #sewsampler box this month! Everything is sew cute! I appreciate FQS for having such great products. I love my little stash and store & the cleaning kit! The diamond divide pattern is amazing. Keep up the great work y’all are awesome!

  18. I Love everything about the Sew Sampler Box. It is the BEST value for money anywhere. Thank you Fat Quarter Shop

  19. I adore the fabrics, and I especially love the mini organizer. It’s so handy! I’m using it right now, on the end table beside my sofa. Thank you for curating such wonderful boxes!

  20. Once again the Sampler Box was great! The cleaning set is good for cleaning the bobbin case. The tape is a good notion to have available. I love the fabric colors in this month’s pack. Thank you for this box and I look forward to seeing next months!!

  21. I liked the mini organizer. Fabric was ok pattern I may try but I have to say I was disappointed in this box. I have to agreed with Michelle and msmouse.

  22. As usual you knocked it out of park on notions and I love the fabric selection. The pattern was. Bit too easy

  23. My favorite box so far! But I think I say that every month… lol. Thank you for curating perfection! My favorites this month are those fantastic cleaning brushes and the fabric.

  24. This is my first sew sampler box and although the pattern is not what I would normally choose I like it and think I’ll try making it. My question is will I continue to receive the box monthly or do I have to sign up every month. Sorry if this is a dumb question.

    1. Once you join, you can expect a box each month, until whenever or if you choose to cancel. The only issue we’ve experienced is with PayPal customers who have to authorize the charge each month. They have to be on the lookout for an email from us and take care of that in order to get their box.

  25. This is my first box, and I can see that everything included in the box will be useful to me. I am already looking forward to next month’s box. Thank you.

  26. I havent the foggiest idea where to get paper piecing paper that big that I can take to fedex to have copies made on as it sure isnt going to fit in my home printer

    1. That was a challenge for us, too. We are selling those sheets for those who would like to buy them. But you can tape two 8.5X11″ pieces of paper together after printing to achieve that size.

  27. I absolutely love this box! The fabric is so bright and colorful. The machine cleaning items that have been included recently are so handy. I’ve really liked the recent sewing projects and notions. Another fantastic box FQS!

  28. This was my first box and did not disappoint! I too would like to make the Diamond Divide quilt and have searched everywhere I know for the background fabric Domino Dots in White. Any suggestions? Thanks again for the fun box 😉

    1. Jaci, we’re expecting more of the Domino Dots in White in October. The timing on our order was off, unfortunately, so it’s coming in a little late. Until then, if you wanted to pick a white or a white on white fabric that would work too.

  29. As always, the box was a great surprise. My favorite parts of the box are the notions first and then the fabric. I have been a member since the very first box. I’ve never been disappointed, always delighted!!!

  30. I loved this box. I especially liked the tape. I used the tape on the back of some slippery rulers I had — what a difference! Now I can use some of those old rulers I had stuffed in a drawer. And even though I probably won’t use the pattern (I’ve tried paper piecing and I prefer to avoid it), I have another layer cake pattern that I will use this fabric for.

  31. Thanks for the awesome goodies in the August box! It is nice to have variety every month in all areas of quilting. I have been exposed to tools and fabric I might not otherwise have enjoyed. I am all for time savers and convenience when sewing as every minute is precious to me! Keep them coming, Kimberly! You are the best!!

  32. Wasn’t super happy with this box. I liked the mini stash n’store but I didn’t like the fabric or pattern. I agree that there are other options out there for those looking for more “modern” supplies. Much prefer the more “cozy designers and fabrics” like Michelle (above) commented. – she’s spot on! Yes, don’t fix what isn’t broke.

  33. I love the modern, keep it up please. I am soooo tired of the repros, had 20 yrs of that and like the change. However, the pattern for this one requires I take it to an office store to have it copied, not really a fan of doing that.

  34. I don’t know if this is my absolute favorite box — I’ve really enjoyed all I’ve received — but it’s ONE of my favorites! When I started quilting about a year ago, I wouldn’t have guessed that I’d like modern at all, let alone how much I would like it. I guess I haven’t settled on a genre yet… I love both 1800s and 1930s repro fabrics and patterns, contemporary fabrics and patterns, and modern fabrics and patterns. My friends are an eclectic bunch, so the range that the boxes have offered since I started my subscription (last Nov) has been fabulous. I’m very close to being ready for Christmas gift-giving — so thank you for that!
