  1. You have got to be kidding… how come we never noticed that block was turned the wrong way!!!!

  2. I SOOOOOOOO want to be at Quilt Market, but can't!! Please, please pick me for Miss Kate Flannels.

  3. Dear god thank you for getting us through the first day of quilt market, now if you will just get through tomorrow we would be very grateful. Amen

  4. Let's take a moment to close our eyes, take a deep breath and experience the zen that is Quilt Market.

  5. Wait, it's coming to us…somewhere in Minnesota there is a girl who is really excited about that basicgrey fabric…her name is Ali, no…Alyson! We got it!

  6. Let us take a moment to meditate on the true nature of quilting…Ooommm…On second thought, maybe a nap is a better idea. What a long day!

  7. Next time- we paint our eyes open our eyelids instead of eye shadow then no one will ever know we are power napping at quilt market!

  8. 2301,2302,2303,… What! You need directions to where? Oh no! I just lost track… How many flowers did we make today?… 1,2,3…

  9. You're supposed to keep me awake and you're the one sleeping? My eyes are closing involuntarily! How am I ever going to get this project done in time?

  10. " Your turn to watch the booth."
"No, it's your turn to watch the booth."
"But I had my eyes shut first."
    "No, you didn't."
    " I'm telling Mom!"
" Not if I tell her first."

  11. Now we'll try to cut out flowers with our eyes shut – think we can do this? (I think they can!)

  12. I am sure with all this color and inspiration around us we can make something… just close our eyes for a minute and enjoy the moment … then 1, 2, 3… open and we shall begin!

  13. I KNOW my glasses were right here. I just finished that cute flower …..sunglasses anyone?

  14. Darlin', I think after all these years I know how to applique a flower!!
    Linda W.

  15. "Forgive me as I have sinned – the fabric budget is blown".

"Lalala – hear no evil, see no evil…!"

  16. Dear Lord, give us the strength to not stuff that Minick and Simpson rabbit quilt next door to us in our bags when we pack up on Sunday

  17. "What? My husband said I could buy anything I wanted at the Fat Quarter shop!!!! I think I just might faint!"

  18. Human Shaming

I'm sorry that you had to make all the pretty little flowers by yourself, I had trouble finding my way back through all these booths. (wink, wink, I was really going around touching all the pretty fabrics)

I would love to win the persimmon!

  19. I know we can survive market as long as we take these quick naps but maybe only one of us at a time.

  20. Honestly, how many times have I told you, "you cannot wander away from this booth and play with other people's fabric". Now stay hear until I tell you that you can go.

  21. "Quick, Mary, pretend we're sleeping and couldn't possibly be the ones who ate all the chocolate from the booth next door!"

  22. "I lost my glasses, and I can't read patterns without them! Maybe they fell on the floor?"
    "Sis…they're on your head."

Ooh, love that Persimmon fabric! Thanks for the opportunity!

  23. "Just close your eyes and pick!"

*waiting and then small zzz's are heard*

    "Did you fall asleep?!"

  24. Umm No this is not Green (closes eyes in frustration) it is called Grass Growing in the Meadow, everybody knows that!
    (hangs head in shame)

  25. They said we had to be at market but they didn't say we have to stay awake.

  26. Ladies, we forgot to put the background flannel up first. I'm afraid iwe're going to have to take it all down, and start again.

  27. Roses are red,
    Violets are blue
    Pick me as the winner
    You know you want to!

  28. Take it again, I blinked.
    No wait, I blinked.
    I blinked again.
    Oops, I blinked, try again.
(Maybe if we keep it up she will run out of film and not have any silly pictures to blackmail us with.)
Maybe we could bribe her to go away with some fabric.

  29. "oh dang, I just realized I'm wearing two different shoes"

"that's ok – I think I'm wearing the other set… that's what we get for staying up all night setting up our booth"

  30. Thank goodness today is over, if I never see another flower, it will be too soon, and so many people, I thought the line would never end. My face hurts for smiling.

  31. When I close my eyes, all I see is colors. Oh yeah, well, I can't open mine.

  32. If everybody's gone, maybe we can grab some ribbon from somewhere and make sleep masks out of these @#$#@ flowers.

  33. "If a stitch in time saves nine, does that mean I get 10 minutes of shut eye?" Thanks for sharing all the photos with lovely quilts and thanks for the giveaway!

  34. I just need 5 minutes and then I will be ready to go again. Oh no, we aren't supposed to take our 5 minutes at the same time.
