We’re celebrating our quilting community with a free block of the week quilt along called the Sewcialites Quilt Along. We’ve joined forces with 18 talented designers to bring you a free 38-week quilt along with amazing sampler blocks and sew many options! This week’s designer is Camille Roskelley! Camille is a wonderful quilter and pattern designer for Thimble Blossoms, and also works as a fabric designer for Moda Fabrics with her mom, Bonnie Olaveson. She has also written several quilting books! Her most recent book was The Bonnie & Camille Quilt Bee Book that she authored with her mom Bonnie for It’s Sew Emma! Camille sewed up her Gratitude block from her collection, Sunday Stroll. Her main sewing tip for us is to leave 1/4” past the points for the seam allowance when squaring up your square in square blocks!If you prefer to sew with foundation papers, the 2” and 3” Square in a Square Quilt Block Foundation Papers by It’s Sew Emma can be used for the 6” and 9” blocks, respectively.
