  1. I loved every item in this month’s box but one.. The bits and bobs sewing tray, this is just clutter that I’m sure most of us do not need more of. I do very much appreciate the ‘always necessary rotary blade and the helpful seam setting pen which I have been wanting to try for a while now. I also really love that seasonal fall fabric was included and it’s beautiful! Thank you FQS

  2. Great box, horrible shipping. Upon notification that UPS Mail Innovations is the new shipping I have cancelled my subscription. I will no longer order specialty boxes either as they are also shipping that way. I used to receive in 3 days, now 7-10 days which is ridiculous. Given the management choices for shipping I will be looking at competitor sites to order going forward. FQS is forgetting their small business roots as they become a mega-business. So sad.

    1. FQS is working to keep shipping costs down, which has nothing to do with becoming a mega business. What is the giant rush? If slower shipping throws you into such a bad place, probably a good thing you cancelled.

    Used the bits and bobs tray immediately to corral some small pieces on my cutting table. Love the pen…using it daily
    Of course, rotary blades are always welcome
    Patterns were put away for another time, as was the fabric
    Fabric is rarely my favorite, but I use it when making gifts.
    I’m a 1800/1900 repro girl and always have been.
    Thanks for a great box.

    1. I believe that you are going too far with your criticism of FQS. They come by US mail!! It comes when it comes and I find it a wonderful surprise whenever I get it. We need to be more patient and have less drama in our lives. So sad for you. 😢

  7. I’m curious about the fabric pen for flatter seams. Is it for fabrics that fray easily? This is my first box after not getting one for quite a while. Great timing as I needed a new Olfa rotary blade!
    Sometimes I think we get too many jelly rolls because I still have some from previous months that I still haven’t used.

  9. Great sampler box! Lori G – I wouldn’t be too hasty in cancelling your subscription if you enjoy the boxes. I’d give it some time for the shipping to maybe get straightened out. They might not have anticipated so many boxes and just need time to adjust.

  13. The fabrics in Sept box are refreshing. Dawn On The Prairie. Something different and didn’t have to give away. Would love to occasionally see fabrics other than the same designers and colors. How about a masculine line once in a while?
    Loved all the notions especially the Bits n Bobs tray, it will be perfect when traveling or camping. Plan on ordering one for a friend. And of course the new blade.

  14. I love this box, especially the colors used in the jelly roll railway quilt picture on the card insert. What is the blue green border/accent and background colors? I’m a copy cat and want to buy the same colors.
