  1. YES!! Everything in this Sampler Box is a winner!! It all works together. Can’t waityo try the flying geese foundation papers. I like the fabric line, and the cute useful CG ruler..new brand of thread for me in interesting colors. Thanks Fat Quarter Shop!!

  2. First and LAST box, someone without any sense for what this stuff costs got it for me for Christmas. I can not believe how little value this box offers I feel cheated.

    1. I think you are being a little silly. This is the equivalent of 6 FQs, which are about $3 each these days. That alone is half the cost of the box. Creative Grids rulers are high quality and not cheap. The thread is quality, as are both patterns and the pins. No one cheated you. I have been a member since the very first month. FQS is top notch, and you received this as a gift. This is not the place for your negativity and rudeness.

    2. To Katie – maybe appreciate someone wanting to do something nice for you. There is SO much you can do with what was sent. If you hate it that much – donate to a sewing group at your Church or to the sewing teacher at a local school. They would LOVE it!

  3. My first box. Was a bit disappointed. Thought it would be more substantial. But will try the next couple of boxes and see if they meet my expectations. Fabric is lovely though.

  4. I have been with the Sew Sampler since the first box came out. I love getting my box every month, but I really did not like the fabric. I know it is a chance we take. I am going to wait one more month and if I am still not happy I will probably discontinue my subscription. I have enjoyed it, but there are only so many repeat items and notions you need. I will still continue with the special seasonal boxes like the Spooky box, the Jolly box, etc. I always love them.

  5. I was so excited when the box arrived and even more so when I saw what was inside the box. It had more things than I expected, and I am happy. I am going to cancel my subscription elsewhere and continue with Fat Quarter. I can’t wait to see what next month’s order will be.

  6. Dear FQS: Great Sew Sampler box this month! The fabric is beautiful and I can always use a new ruler and thread. You all are the best!

  7. Is there a box for cross stitchers as I don’t quilt. I love the colors of the fabric pieces, very springy.

  8. Loved this box. I ordered the finishing kit and will soon make this beautiful quilt. I always love Lella Boutique’s fabric.

  9. I really liked this box! The fabric was awesome – probably wouldn’t have picked this myself. It’s good to try new things! The creative grids ruler is a nice size. The paper piecing was pretty basic but might be nice for someone new to paper piecing – I’m sure I’ll find a way to use them. Love paper piecing! You can never have too much thread in a variety of colors. I have trouble with those pins – they seem flimsy but it could be me. If I don’t get them to work I’ll bring them to my sewing group – I know someone will use them or show me what I’m doing wrong.

  10. Is the Dulce pattern going to be sold separately? Can’t afford these boxes but would love the pattern.

    1. Hi Kim!

This is a great question. At this time our patterns are all exclusive to the boxes.

  11. I’m ready to start cutting out the Dulce Quilt, but I am totally confused. I’m afraid to cut anything because I don’t understand the instructions. Is there anyone in this group that has made this quilt and can help me.

    1. I haven’t made the quilt, but I am very familiar with the way FQS patterns are written. Can you describe the source of your confusion?
