      1. Hi Karen!

The sneak peek is above as always! The clues are always in the graphic/photo and words shared on the blog posts. There was just a bonus one shared for YouTube Channel Members as one of the items got mentioned in the monthly members only video. Sorry for the confusion!

          1. Hi S and Michele! The sneak peek is above as always! The clues are always in the graphic/photo and words shared on the blog posts. There was just a bonus one shared for YouTube Channel Members. Sorry for the confusion!

      1. Hi Pamela! ! The sneak peek is above as always! The clues are always in the graphic/photo and words shared on the blog posts. There was just a bonus one shared for YouTube Channel Members. Sorry for the confusion!

        1. Hi Marissa, is the only way to see the sneak peek is by becoming a YouTube Channel Member?

I subscribe to the monthly Sew Sampler box and the email infers that we can see the sneak peek on the blog however there is nothing in the picture above. When we click on the picture it takes us to the page to subscribe but we are already subscribing.

Only once, I believe it was July, could I see the sneak peak so something is different (at least for me) this month.

  1. I can’t afford the box plus another fee to see the sneak peak. It was fun to see the guesses. You would think if you pay for the box you could see the sneak peak!

    1. I know. It costs a lot for the box. I just can’t pay for the extra membership on ypu tube. I feel like we are being put under pressure to get the me bership. I guess I’d rather buy something of my choosing. Don’t get me wrong, I like fqs a lot. I already spend a lot of money there, but I don’t want to feel pressure to spend even more.

      1. Hi Linda! We don’t want you to feel pressured at all! ! The sneak peek is above as always! The clues are always in the graphic/photo and words shared on the blog posts. There was just a bonus one shared for YouTube Channel Members. Sorry for the confusion!

        1. The Sew Sampler box is the least expensive of all the Quilty type boxes available. The value is well above the cost of they box. Many of the fabrics can be mixed and matched with other collections as well.

  2. There is no link for the sneak peek….. I see other’s made a youtube comment, youtube is free…. but there is no link for youtube showing in my email, nor when I go directly to Fat Quarter web site.

    1. Hi Mary! ! The sneak peek is above as always! The clues are always in the graphic/photo and words shared on the blog posts. There was just a bonus one shared for YouTube Channel Members. Sorry for the confusion!

  3. It seems to me that if you are a member of the monthly Sew Sampler Box, you should get everything associated with the Sew Sampler Box including Sneak Peaks on youtube.

Does this mean Fat Quarter Shop is moving all videos to members only youtube eventually?

    1. No, they’ll still have their normal YouTube. Being a “member”is like Patreon but on YouTube. You pay a small fee and get exclusive content, etc

  4. I agree with the others above, it’s crazy that you want us to pay for another subscription to see a sneak peak of something we’re already paying for!

    1. Hi Brandi! ! The sneak peek is above as always! The clues are always in the graphic/photo and words shared on the blog posts. There was just a bonus one shared for YouTube Channel Members. Sorry for the confusion!

    1. In the blue and white pic I see needle, thread maybe a pin cushion and scissors. Haven’t figured out which fabric it is. But I see limbs with leaves. Can’t wait!!

  5. I do agree with the above comments. I understand having a member’s exclusive content, but not for the Sampler Box. At least you got your box, my August box has not arrived.

  6. In FQS’s defense– the video isn’t a Sew Sampler Sneak Peek– Kimberley just showed a notion at the tail end of a quilt block video. Unfortunately, she mentioned it’s in the box– these videos aren’t rehearsed and I’m sure it won’t happen again. I’m sure they aren’t going to make a practice of this.

    1. Thanks for pointing out it was a slip up. You at least let us non-members know that it was during a video about a quilt block. I completely understand an accidental slip. Own the mistake, no big deal. I’m sure it wasn’t on purpose. I know I couldn’t keep track of everything Kimberly has to keep track off from what’s in stock, to what’s being released each month, to what she is sewing on for the next 6 months, etc.

However, Marissa at FQS (above), makes it sound like it was an intentional video specifically about the September Sew Sampler Box and you can’t see it because you’re not a member. That is the part I think people have a problem with.

I think it is Fall’s in Town by Sandy G. If not, I hope it is super fall-ish also.

    2. Hi Carol!

This is totally correct! It wasn’t a dedicated sneak peek there was just mention of an item in a Youtube Member’s Only video. ! The sneak peek is above as always! The clues are always in the graphic/photo and words shared on the blog posts. There was essentially just a bonus one shared for YouTube Channel Members. Sorry for the confusion!

  7. after paying for the box and the fabric to complete the project, it has become very costly. I think it must have been an accidental reveal. I would hope so anyway!

    1. Hi Judith! It absolutely was a little comment made in a video otherwise unrelated to Sew Sampler. We are not going to be releasing sneak peeks that require channel membership. The sneak peek is above as always! The clues are always in the graphic/photo and words shared on the blog posts. There was essentially just a bonus one shared for YouTube Channel Members. Sorry for the confusion!

  8. While I understand that the You Tube for members only costs a few dollars each month, remember why they charge a fee – it’s to help offset the cost of bringing you all the free content on their videos. Do you enjoy Kimberley’s Friday videos and all the other free content they provide? If so, and you can afford it, then please support them by becoming a member to keep them coming.

    1. It’s not about the $6.99 every month ($83.88 per year). It’s the principal. Gotta draw the line somewhere! Plenty of very good free videos out there. Let FQS get payment from their advertisers like other YouTubers.

      1. Oh! Nancy I’m sure they are getting paid for the Content they putting out on YouTube. If by nothing else, all the sales they making do to the Content they putting out on You Tube.

  9. Can’t wait to see what’s in this next box and what the next Pressed Flowers block looks like!

  10. So we now have to pay for yet another subscription to see the sneak peak of the subscription we’re already paying for? That seems to be in poor taste and below FQS’s class. As a Sew Sampler member from day one, I’m disappointed.

    1. Sew Sampler is the least expensive Quilty type box out there. You always get more bang for your buck with FQS.

  11. I get several subscriptions boxes and the Sew Sampler box is a great value for what they charge. It is the least expensive box I get, and I am never disappointed. I’ve been getting the box since 2018 and there has only been one small price increase in all those years. Thank you to everyone at the FQS. You do a great job!

  12. I am looking forward to the surprise I feel when opening the box. It is one of the reasons I buy it! I feel like I am opening a gift that was put together just for me- like an unbirthday present!

  13. Hey all. Let’s try and guess the fabric and what may be in the box. Let’s be positive and enjoy the fun. I would love to see Bountiful Blooms too.

  14. No way I’m paying $6.99 every month to see a video. I love FQS but that’s crazy! I can wait & see it when the box is received. Pretty much takes the fun out of guessing so… no guessing for me this month. If you can get free shipping when you order over $80 – you should get a dang “free” video to see. when you order over $160 in a month.

    1. Hi Nancy! I think there’s been some misunderstandings. There isn’t a video tutorial or anything very big. The sneak peek was done the same as it always as a blog post every month and the newsletters! There was a bonus sneak peek for those who are Sew Sampler subscribers and also YouTube Channel Members. The YouTube Channel Membership is totally optional and doesn’t affect anything about Sew Sampler. The channel members do get little social media content bonuses and this one just happened to be of an item in the Sew Sampler Box. I apologize for any confusion!

The sneak peek is above as always! The clues are always in the graphic/photo and words shared on the blog posts. There was just a essentially a bonus one shared for YouTube Channel Members as one item got shown in the monthly member’s only video. Sorry for the confusion!

  15. I am so tired of the buckle and dining from subscriptions services. I didn’t realize until AFTER the August and July blog posts, after the boxes arrived that o was shorted items from the boxes. No thread in August box, no June Tayler bag kit in July box. No customer service replies from FQS 😖

    1. Hi Barb, nothing has changed with the way we do our sneak peeks, there was just a bonus video sneak peek in for the YouTube Members. It has no effect on what you should have received. Can I ask if you’ve previously been emailing or calling our customer service? This is the sort of thing we want to make sure gets sorted out! You paid for those items, so you should have received them!

  16. As others have said, the video in question WAS NOT intended as a sneak peek. FQS has had the YouTube membership option for several years. It was a totally unrelated video on a quilt block- exclusive perks and content are part of the paid membership. Otherwise, what’s the point of having any membership anywhere?
Instead of focusing on the sneak peek on the blog that’s here for anybody and everybody, folks seem fixated on being entitled to content they don’t want to pay for. Not one single thing has changed with Sew Sampler sneak peeks or regular YouTube content. But there’s so much FOMO over a tiny slip up.
    Here’s my $.02

    1. Well said Marge!

Let’s get back to the fun of Sew Sampler, I’m hoping for Dawn on the Prairie. Sounds like Fall for sure so I’m sure it will be wonderful whatever it is. Love FQS and love Sew Sampler!

  17. I was hoping for the new Lori Holt – I think it’s Mercantile? Feeling calico vibes this autumn. Can’t wait to see what we get. This is such a fun thing that I do for myself. Happy to anticipate.

  18. I’m hoping for “Dawn” on the Prairie!! I LOVE this line and it definitely gives fall vibes!

  19. I’m guessing Fall’s in Town because of the leaves and colors. I usually guess wrong. Apparently there is another cool notion coming too. I love being surprised every month. I appreciate the thought involved in putting the boxes together and useful items included each month Thank you FQS!

  20. The image in this post is not showing for me, it is a standard blue and white background display. I don’t know it this is isolated to me or iPhone users etc. Perhaps is it possible that this is what is causing confusion over the sneakpeek?

  21. OMG!PEOPLE! The YouTube membership helps pay for the expensive equipment to put on the Livestream. Kimberly let it slip. Once. I repeat only once. FQS puts out many, many FREE patterns for us to use. Kimberly often encourages us to use our stashes so we don’t have to purchase any more. She even puts out an annual quilt project just for scraps! Please stop the “I won’t pay more for a clue”. It was a slip. Let’s be gracious and grateful for all the Kimberly does for us!

    1. Thank you for your comments. I’m very surprised that so many people are upset about such a small thing when you consider all the things that the team at Fat Quarter Shop and Kimberly do for us. It’s an amazing company, and we get so much free content and so many videos. Kimberly is a wonderful teacher and many of us have learned so much from her! I’m very grateful!!

  22. I’m guessing Quaint Cottage by Gingiber for Moda Fabrics. The text of the ‘sneak peek” says “retreat to the coziness of autumn” – and I think you would retreat to a quaint cottage! Although there’s also Autumn Harvest Flannel byBonnie Sullivan for Maywood Studio… flannel is certainly “cozy”! Looking forward to seeing what it really is!

  23. I never can guess anything in it anyway so I’m always surprised…and happy when I get my box. The fabric comes second usually to the notions. I LOVE LOVE LOVE them. Things I wouldn’t normally buy but I really do use them. Thanks FQS

    1. In the blue and white picture, you can see sewing notions. In the orange ribbon/banner that says “September” you can see a pattern with scattered leaves. That is the sneak peek. Sometimes you have to think outside the box, pun intended😊

  24. I love getting my box every month – the element of surprise is what makes the box so much fun (at least for me)! Keep up with all great stuff you do for us FQS!

  25. I am not very good at figuring the contents of the boxes out. I’m just glad it will be here soon and I can oooh and aaah over all the goodies! I always enjoy receiving new to me notions, threads, needles, fabrics and patterns. FQS does a great job filling the Sew Sampler box every month. Thank you.

  26. Maybe, just not mention that some know a sneak peek before the rest. It would cause less confusion and not make people feel bad. If you give a special sneak peak tell everyone to keep it a secret.

  27. In the blue and white pic I see needle, thread, maybe a pin cushion and scissors. Maybe fabric with limbs and leaves. The fabric choice is always a hit or miss with me but I always love everything we get. It’s a lot of fun guessing. Thanks FQS!!!
