Work along with me each month as we complete each pattern from the Season 2 – A Year of Celebrations Continues Pattern. I will be stitching mine as one piece on Prim 25 Count Lugana 27″ x 36″ Vintage Cross Stitch Cloth by Lori Holt for Zweigart.

I switched up my thread colors and fabric choice and will show you below if you’d like to stitch the same. Season 2 – A Year of Celebrations Continues Classic Colorworks Thread Pack is available with the called for colors, or Kimberly’s Season 2 – A Year of Celebrations Continues Classic Colorworks Starter Thread Pack is available with my substitutions.

  1. I absolutely love Kimberley’s color changes for Season 2 – A Year of Celebrations Continues! Could you please provide the DMC equivalents? I cannot afford the Classic Color Works thread and I have a pretty full stash of DMC. Thanks, in advance.

    1. Ann, if you click on the pattern in FQS, the DMC equivalents are right there. I just went there to order the pattern and saw the DMC colors. πŸ™‚

      1. Thank you for getting back to me. I’ve put together a DMC conversion and hope I’m on target. Kimberly is AMAZING! I’ve learned so much. I am really looking forward to this SAL.

    2. Hi Ann, I’m sorry, but we will not be providing DMC equivalents to Kimberly’s color changes. You will have to find a close match yourself.

Thank you for letting us know this is something you’d want for future blog posts though. We always appreciate the feedback. πŸ™‚

    1. Hi Karen!
Yes – you can definitely stitch this on 14 count – just make sure you have a big enough fabric if you are stitching it as one piece!

  2. I too would love to do this on one piece, but I can’t go higher than 16 count Aida. Recommendations for equivalent color and size of material needed for all 12 if using 14 or 16 count?

    1. Laura, If you go to the website to order the pattern, it recommends either 16 count Aida or the 32 count, they will produce the same size final product if stitching 2 over 2 on the 32 count. You might find they have the same color of Aida if you look through fabric choices…. But 16 count is definitely doable. Hope that helps a little.

  3. Pretty colors! Do you have a DMC conversion for the colors you chose? Thanks so much.

    1. The DMC colors are provided at the FQS website under Product Detail when you order the pattern. (I know because I just went to order it, I don’t work for them or anything.)

      1. Thank you Mary! Yes, for everyone asking Mary is right about the DMC colors for the called for colors. We will not be providing DMC matches for Kimberly’s changes though if that’s what you’re looking for.

  4. I am excited about starting this project with Kimberly. I too am stitching it as one sampler. For the first time in my cross-stitching life, I am not using DMC. I decided to treat myself, and splurged on Kimberly’s color set. 😍 I wondered if Kimberly could show us how she wrote this pattern up in her Stich Book. I am stumped on the stitch count size. Thank you. Have a wonderful and safe Fourth of July weekend.

  5. Love this and Kimberly’s colors! I hope I will keep up each month! If we’re going to use the same fabric as Kimberly, the 25 count Lugana, we’re going to stitch 2 over 2, correct?

  6. Has there been a Floss Tube episode related to this stitch along? I thought it was supposed to start on July 5th, but it appears to keep getting pushed back each week. Am I missing something? Thanks!!

  7. Hello,

Today I watched your floss tube and saw your conversion colors chart included September, yet I cannot find it here. Any guidance on where I can find it, I will love to start stitching it.
    Thank you in advance

    1. Hello Astrid, Kimberly works ahead sometimes to keep up with things, but we release the conversions each month.

September will be added in a few weeks at the start of the month.
      Hope this helps!
