Howdy everyone! Over the past few days, Kimberly and the Fat Quarter Shop team ventured to one of the most anticipated events of the season, QUILTCON 2015, right here in our hometown of Austin, TX. We had so much fun meeting our FQS fans, bloggers, and amazing designers and we can’t wait to share all of the fun pictures we took (and some amazing quilts as well) with all of you. So what are we waiting for, let’s get started!
First, we visited the Moda Fabrics booth for a quick snap at the photo booth!
New Moda designer, Jen Kingwell, with Jocelyn and Kimberly
FQS team: Megan, Sarah, Codi and Daniar
FQS team: Nova, Kat, and Daniar
Jina and Cindy of Riley Blake Designs with Kimberly
FQS Team and Alex of Windham Fabrics
Visiting the extremely colorful Robert Kaufman booth.
It wouldn’t be QUILTCON without showing off some of our favorite quilts from the show!
Kimberly’s favorite is an ode to her love of this rap song, Turn Down For What by Lauren Palmer
Codi just loves the variety of blocks from the Long Island Modern Sampler by Kim Soper
Can you tell that Jocelyn loves this quilt beary beady much?Bearface by Jenna Richardson
Megan and Baby L just loves the Texas Forever quilt by Corrine Sovey
Sarah loves the beautiful colors and hand quilting of the Coral Reef quilt by Marla Varner
This Refresh quilt by Anna Boenish quilt definitely reflects Daniar’s colorful personality!
Colors, shapes, and intricate piecing, oh my! Shifting Impressions by Marianne Haak is by far, Kat’s favorite pick!
The simple and modern design of this Ceiling Tiles quilt by Amy Garroquilt is what caught Nova’s eyes during the show!
If you want to see more fun and quilts from QUILTCON, don’t forget to follow us on Instagram (@fatquartershop), we will be posting more quilts over the weekend!
