QuiltCon Highlights – Phoenix 2025

QuiltCon 2025 was a colorful blur of quilty fun, learning, shopping, and so much inspiration! I’m Kailee, the Content Writer at Fat Quarter Shop, and I got the opportunity to visit QuiltCon for the first time with another first-timer from the team, Marissa, our Social Media Manager. We had so much fun soaking up everything QuiltCon had to offer, and we hope you had just as much fun following along on our adventure through our posts and stories on Facebook and Instagram this weekend. Keep reading for highlights from this weekend, and enter to win a fabric giveaway!

Quilt Show

As you make your way into QuiltCon, you’re greeted by the winning quilts for the Quilt Show, and this year’s Best in Show Winner is the quilt “Dignity,” pieced and quilted by Veruschka Zarate. Based on the statue of the same name by Artist Laureate DC Lampher, Veruschka’s quilt captures the statue in stunning color using Bella Solids by Moda Fabrics. You can learn more about this piece and the rest of her incredible work by visiting her Instagram and website.

To see all the winning quilts in the 12 show categories, you can visit the QuiltCon website. It’s well worth a visit if you’re looking for inspiration for your next quilt!

QuiltCon Booths

The inspiration continued with all the stunning booths set up! At the top of our list of booths to visit were our friends at Moda Fabrics and Riley Blake Designs. We loved digging through all the chunky thread and playing with the gorgeous notions from Riley Blake Designs. Then, over at Moda Fabric’s booth, they were sewing a community quilt project, showing off all their stunning fabrics, and giving us a sweet tooth.

It’s always great to get a chance to chat with our quilty friends in real life, and Marissa had a wonderful time with pattern designer Robin Pickens at her booth.

The Art Gallery Fabrics booth was sew cute, and the decor was larger than life, literally! When we stopped by, I added to the community English Paper Piecing hexagon quilt that they had going. Taking a minute to do some hand quilting is a great way to take a break at QuiltCon.

FIGO had a fun button-drop giveaway, and Marissa won one of the big prizes! We can never have too much FIGO Fabric in our stash and everyone we met was sew nice.

We spotted our favorite sewing chair and sewing room furniture in the wild when we found the Arrow Sewing Furniture booth! We might need the Hydraulic Sewing Chair in all the different patterns now.

Aurifil’s booth was a dazzling display of all their amazing thread, and we couldn’t help getting a handful (or two!) of thread for our stash!

We fell in love with each and every one of the scents from Soak Wask Company, and the Minisoak Sampler Pack became a new staple in our travel bags! The rinse-free formula is perfect for keeping our quilty clothes fresh while on the go.

You can spot an Elizabeth Hartman pattern from a mile away, and her adorable booth had a certain siren call that we couldn’t ignore. We were excited to get a sneak peek at this Mermaids Pattern while we were there! You can see her other amazing patterns that we have available now.

Last but certainly not least was the Ruby Star Society booth! From cute make-and-take opportunities to their #RSSBlockBuddies block swap wall, you could find me there multiple times a day! I had so much fun making blocks to add to the wall, and I’m excited to share all the amazing blocks I picked out in a blog coming soon.
