Who says pincushions have to look like tomatoes!? The sky’s the limit when it comes to these little patchwork pinnies. Carrie Nelson brings us a delightful selection of 40 patchwork pincushions in her book, Pin Pals. She visited the Fat Quarter Shop studio to film a few videos showing us how she assembles and personalizes each one of these little patchwork gems, and how you, too, can play with these tiny tuffets and make them your own.
These pincushions are quick to stitch and so addicting that no quilter can make just one. Simply sew, turn and stuff! Watch the video to see the amazing array of pinnies Carrie sewed. Is she addicted to making them? Yes! Oh yes she is.
What’s the difference between filling and stuffing? Carrie Nelson spills the beans on how you can use both to fill your pincushions to perfection!
Pincushions are small enough to experiment with and make wonderful gifts. Carrie shows you how to embellish them with all sorts of cute things, from badges to buttons!
Finally, we did a livestream with Carrie (aka Miss Rosie) where she answered many of the questions submitted by our wonderful viewers!
We loved having Carrie come and film these Pin Pals tutorials with us! Be sure to follow her on Instagram to keep up with all of the wonderful projects that she’s doing, and be on the lookout for her Summer Moon Book and Block of the Month tutorials starting in May by subscribing to our YouTube channel.
