Welcome back for round 8! This week we have another fun round inspired by Edyta Sitar’s book, Pillow Talk: 25 Lovely Pillows for Your Home Sweet Home. Corey Yoder and Sherri McConnell are going head-to-head with their creations!
Check out our announcement post to see all the talented participants.
Without further ado, let’s see what they made!
Sherri’s One Step at a Time Pillow
Sherri McConnell of A Quilting Life sewed this design with prints from Walkabout, Harper’s Garden, Creekside and Clover Hollow. The quilting really shines on this one! Try the Pillow Kit with 28 laser cut shapes for a fast sew and go project!
Corey’s Lone Star Pillow
Corey Yoder of Coriander Quilts made this 8-point star with rustic Boro Wovens by Moda and finished it off with some lovely hand-quilting. It may look complicated, but Edyta gives some nice ‘pointers’ in the book for making this star.
Voting for Your Favorites
Each Thursday we invite you to vote for your favorite pillow project here on the blog. Find us on social with #PillowTalkPillowFight.
Please only vote one time. The poll will be open until March 3 at noon and we’ll reveal the results next week.
Get Inspired with the Pillow Talk Book
Pillows are the best way to give any room an easy refresh, and Edyta has created this book exactly for all the HGTV moments where you are tempted to do a “quick home renovation” (of which we all know there is no such thing!) The designs in her book range from beginner to advanced and can be made using any fabric combinations you like, or with the Pillow Kits that have all you need for your DIY pillow cover. If you want to see all of the pillows, watch Edyta’s interview with Kimberly Jolly.
We’ll see you back here next week to vote on your favorites for the semi-final brackets! In the meantime, if you sew up some Pillow Talk pillows, be sure to share your projects using #PillowTalkBook and tag us (@fatquartershop), @itssewemma and @laundrybasketquilts so we can see and share your work!
