Pillow Talk Pillow Fight - Round 4 - The Jolly Jabber Quilting Blog

Pillow Talk Pillow Fight – Round 4

Welcome back for round 4! This week our friends Melissa Corry and Sherri Falls are joining in our contest inspired by Edyta Sitar’s book, Pillow Talk:  25 Lovely Pillows for Your Home Sweet Home.

Check out our announcement post to see all the talented participants.

Without further ado, let’s see what they made!

Melissa Corry’s Chevron Pillow

Melissa Corry of Happy Quilting turned up the volume on these low-volume prints! The Chevron Pillow also comes in a pillow kit with laser cut shapes.

Sherri Falls’ Mother’s Day Pillow

Sherri Falls of This and That Patterns sewed up this flowery scene with Old Rose by Tilda. The design is a raw-edge applique with simple circles that create a lovely effect.

Voting for Your Favorites

Each Thursday we invite you to vote for your favorite pillow project here on the blog. Find us on social with #PillowTalkPillowFight.

Then, we’ll put the winners from Rounds 1-4 to a vote here on the blog on Thursday, February 6, and the winners from Rounds 5-8 will be put to a vote on Thursday, February 27. Glory goes to the winners and we’ll have special prizes for those of you voting, too!

Congratulations to last week’s winner, Minki Kim!

And so the voting begins! Please only vote one time. We’ll reveal the results next week.

Pillow Talk Fabric Kits

We offer fabric kits for many of the pillows in the Pillow Talk Book. Each pillow fabric kit includes the Laundry Basket Favorites fabric for the 18″ x 18″ pillow top and binding. You will just need to order the Pillow Talk Book and 1/2 yard separately for backing.

We’ll see you back here next week to see creations by Melanie Call (@abitofscrappstuff) and Gina Tell (@threadgraffiti)! In the meantime, if you sew up some Pillow Talk pillows, be sure to share your projects using #PillowTalkBook and tag us (@fatquartershop), @itssewemma and @laundrybasketquilts so we can see and share your work!

Happy Quilting!

  1. This was a difficult choice: the chevron pillow sewn with a delightful bounty of colors or a lovely romantic simple floral design.

Floral wins every time for me!
