It’s Notion of the Month time! This month we have selected Aurifil Thread as our Notion of the Month.

As much as we love fabric, the other essential in quilting is thread. It’s (literally) what holds everything together! That’s why we’ve chosen Aurifil as our Notion of the Month for January.
Aurifil has a wonderful rainbow assortment of basic and fashion-forward hues, which is great if you want your thread to be invisible or if you would like to add some color to your sewing projects! Most importantly, it is of the highest quality. We’ve noticed that the smooth, fine thread leaves less lint than other threads.

  4. My sister gave me a Fat Quarter Shop gift certificate for Christmas and I bought the Aurifil invisible thread cone. Wow, after years of wrestling with other invisible threads I was impressed by how well the Aurifil worked. No more breakage.

  8. i won 36 spools of 50wt last year … this is fabulous thread! gorgeous colors, no lint, fine enough for piecing, strong enough for quilting. love it!

  11. I love Aurifil thread as well. It's the only thing I will quilt with. It never jams my machine and is so smooth. And the color selection is fantastic!

  16. Only thread I will sew and quilt with. Its beautiful! This thread single handedly stopped my machine from jamming EVERY time I sew. It literally brought the fun back into sewing after years of wrestling with my machine.
