NEW BOOK: Christmas Figs Block of the Month

When one holiday season is done, what do we do? We prepare for next year’s! It’s Sew Emma is so happy to collaborate with Joanna Figueroa of Fig Tree Quilts to create a beautiful sampler quilt to spice up the holidays, the Christmas Figs Block of the Month Book!

The Christmas Figs Block of the Month Quilt is made with 20 lovely traditional blocks that are sure to get you in the spirit of Christmas! And, as a special treat, Joanna has added 10 companion projects that range from tablerunners to pillows that add even more warmth to the season.

The blocks and projects are made for confident beginners to seasoned quilters using basic piecing techniques and some applique. Take on the 2019 holiday season with 12 months of classic Christmas blocks using the Christmas Figs collection by Fig Tree Quilts for Moda Fabrics!

Here are some of the gorgeous blocks you will be creating as a part of this Block of the Month Program:

  1. What level would you need to be to attempt this quilt. I would like to do this, some blocks look difficult or advanced. I was thinking about joining yesterday, but scared. Thank you!

    1. Hi Sondra, this quilt is all pieced, and two blocks include some applique. Most are quite easy, and a few are intermediate/advanced. That is the wonderful thing about this being formatted so you are working on 2 blocks on a month though. You can take the time to go slow on the harder blocks, and there are smaller companion projects for each block that you can continue to practice with!

  2. Will the book be available for purchase separately or is it only available as part of the block of the month program?
