We’re taking it back to the 1930s with It’s Sew Emma’s newest book, Aunt Grace Basket of Scraps Block of Month Book! It’s no secret that we all love Judie Rothermel’s Aunt Grace fabric lines for Marcus Fabrics as an authentic window to the 1930s.
It’s Sew Emma was honored to work with Marcus to create a beautiful block-of-the-month quilt using the Aunt Grace Baskets of Scraps collection, which is published in this book of classic blocks that have stood the test of time! We have added our own twist, capturing the rich look of English paper piecing and simplifying it into easy applique. The applique becomes even easier with the help of the Aunt Grace Baskets of Scraps template set.
We have also curated this set of luscious Aurifil 50wt thread, called the Aunt Grace Baskets of Scraps Thread Box, that is a picture-perfect match to the fabric to use for the piecing, applique and binding.
