We have some BIG news today! After finishing up the Deck-ade the Halls Quilt Along, we wanted to share another free quilt with our fantastic customers. After thinking and planning and designing, we are proud to bring you the Wishes Quilt Along, which will run through 2014 and benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
All 12 quilt pattern and tutorial videos will be loaded to our Wishes Quilt Along page on the first of every month from January – December 2014. With each free pattern, we encourage you to donate to the Wishes Quilt Along Make-A-Wish Foundation page. To make an even bigger impact, Fat Quarter Shop and Moda Fabrics are teaming up to match up to $10,000 of donations! And to top it off, we will be auctioning off the Wishes Quilt at the end of the Quilt Along, and 100% of the proceeds will be donated. We are really excited to be teaming up to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and we really hope you join us!
Our quilt was made with the Wishes collection by Sweetwater for Moda Fabrics, and if you want one just like it we have a limited number of kits and backing sets available for reserve. Or, you can sew the quilt with whatever fabric you want! Scraps, or a new favorite collection, in modern fabrics or traditional prints. Download the fabric requirements PDF and start choosing, January 1st will be here before you know it!
Start preparing now for the Wishes Quilt Along. We recorded a handy video with all of the fabric, notions, and tools you will need to complete the quilt. With everything prepped and ready, we hope you are as excited for January 1st as we are!
So be sure to visit us after the New Year and join in the Wishes Quilt Along. Are you excited about this new program? How many of you will be sewing along with us to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation?

I was wondering, what size half square triangle paper do I need for the quilt? Making an xmas list for my hubby.
What will the finished dimensions be of the quilt.?

I'm so glad that you are doing this. I'm one who has benifited from make a wish. My grandson Leo died six months ago from brain cancer. He was able to go to Disneyland because of the make a wish foundation.

For the triangle paper, you will need 2" finished, 3 1/2" finished, and 4" finished!
I will be joining. I'm a newbie to quilting, so this will be challenging.

Can I use 1/4 of a yard instead of a fat quarter?
I love this project. I may be a bit thick, but it is unclear to me if we would donate the quilt we make or if we are supposed to just donate money…I would rather donate the quilt!
Sara – it is completely up to you. We appreciate your support!
I am having difficulty downloading the PDF pattern for May….program will only allow me to open the video and not the pattern. Why?
