The 2020 KONA Color of the Year is here and we have sew many quilts ready for it! The gorgeous color is one of our new favorites and reminds us of rich, emerald jewels! This year’s color of the year is Enchanted, a beautiful, deep color we cannot keep our eyes off of and cannot wait to start using in our quilty projects! Robert Kaufman’s quilting cotton line, KONA Cottons, identifies one color every year to make their color of the year and designs free patterns and projects to display the bright color chosen to represent that year.
Quilt it up!
To celebrate our new favorite color, we’ve redone some of our most popular quilt patterns in Enchanted fabric. Check out each of these patterns to make with the Enchanted Color of the Year precuts (Roll Up, Charm Packs, and 10″ Squares) and yardage.
The Postage Stamp Star Quilt is a great Classic and Vintage quilt to redo in this lovely, enchanted green! We even have a tutorial to get you started. Just swap the fabric out for this 2020 edition. If you are viewing this via email, please click here to watch the video tutorial.
We’ve got some other classic quilts we think would look great in Enchanted. Tell us in the comment section how you will use Enchanted this year!
Be sure to grab your 2020 KONA Color of the Year fabrics, a pattern share with us, your enchanted quilt! Share any of the quilts you make using Enchanted with the hashtag #FQSEnchanted and we’ll share your work!
Happy Quilting!
