Introducing Great Granny Squared by Lori Holt!

Hello Fat Quarter Shop-ers! We have some exciting news to share! We have been very busy working with our creative friend Lori Holt of Bee in my Bonnet and we are so proud to finally announce her next book, Great Granny Squared!

The book has super cute projects, all of which use Lori’s “Great Granny Square” block! If you love vintage, this book is for you!

The book contains:

  • Two quilt patterns
  • One table runner pattern
  • One pillowcase pattern
  • Two quilt labels
  • and BONUS, if you pre-order you’ll get a bonus embroidery sampler and 20% off the book!

We used cute, bright fabric from Lori’s new line for Riley Blake Deisgns, Vintage Happy, and sewed the projects in many different colorways. There is a TON of vintage inspiration in this book, which I’m sure you expect from Lori!

We texans will brave the Utah cold next week to photo the projects for the book, so we will have many more photos to share! In the mean time, CLICK HERE to pre-order your copy of Great Granny Squared by Lori Holt of Bee in my Bonnet, and let us know if you have any tips for staying warm!

  1. It's 40 degrees where I am in Australia today, and this is day 5 of this heat, so I wish I had your cold weather. Needless to say I don't have any tips for staying warm because we're sweltering here!!! I always think that when it's cold you can find ways to stay warm but when it's hot you just stay hot.

  2. Don't know if I'll ever make a granny square quilt- used to crochet them! But I wouldn't miss another book. Lori's home & studio are precious and y'all always take the BEST pictures!

  3. I've already pre-ordered this new book and really look forward to pics of your next photo shoot.
Make sure you have some extra fleecy socks along and to 'layer-up' and….don't forget some ear muffs; but I know Lori's hospitality will be the best warmth of all in your trip to Utah.

  4. I am a fan of Julie Herman and have done Radio Way, Carnival and Candy Dish quilts from her patterns. I love the math of quilts also and that is what I like about Julie. Would love to win this quilt kit!

  5. Have already pre ordered my book, can't wait :))) It's cold and VERY wet here in the UK right now…..warm snuggly socks and quilts to bury yourself under is hw I keep warm 🙂

  6. I've never tried a Jaybird pattern, but am intrigued! 'Night Sky' is stunning. I also thought 'Hugs and Kisses', and 'Firecracker' were neat! Just like potato chips, no one can eat/try just one! lol

  7. I have seen patterns by Jaybird Quilts. In fact, the shop where I work a bit is thinking about doing their star BOM.
